The best oil pastels!
I am by no means a professional artist. But I have NEVER been able to do anything recognizable with pastels- not even with YT videos showing me how! Then I discovered Sennelier oil pastels. Finally I can use pastels!! I am not good enough to sell anything. But I actually was happy enough with my pastel art to frame and hang in my home. I'm so happy I found these! The only down side is the cost. These are the creamiest and most easily blendable oil pastels I've ever seen. And the colors are amazing!!

Buttery goodness in a little stick :)
As an artist returning to drawing/painting after 26yrs away (raising a family, career, etc.), I wanted to spoil myself with the top of the line oil pastels. I've been using chalk pastels for about a year now, and was a bit intimidated about oil pastels. I've heard that they were just "big people Crayolas". This couldn't be farther from the truth with the Sennelier Oil Pastels. With a light shading, you can take your finger and rub the color into your paper/canvas with ease. They are buttery smooth and blend beautifully. I read that you can use Turpentine to give them a different consistency. I have yet to try this, as I'm taking a Life Drawing 2 class that doesn't allow chemicals (i.e. Gamsol, Turpenoid, etc.). I plan on trying this technique in my own time. If you are considering purchasing this product, don't hesitate. Yes, they are expensive. However, isn't your artwork worth it? Sketch out your piece. When you have your shading/layout figured out, pull out they wonderful oil pastels and CREATE. I highly recommend them.

Buttery soft
These pastels are the easiest to blend out of the three brands I’ve tried. I used a stiff textured canvas. Lots of fun and relaxing. A little more pricey, but worth the splurge.

Good product, badly wrapped
I’ve used these before in my art classes and I have to say the quality of these pastels are 10/10. They blend well with linseed oil and stay on the paper. The only bad thing about this was the way it was delivered to me. It came in plastic wrap and the edges of the box were a little beat up. Other than that the product itself is good.

Sennelier! One of the best
Sennelier is considered one of the best. They are extremely soft and blendable. For my abstracts I underpaint with Mungyo Gallery oil pastels and use my more expensive oil pastels on top.

Beautiful but expensive
Teacher said these are what we should buy. Given hiw expensive they are, there are other sets out there that may be better for a being class. The price makes them too dear to use. The pastels are very soft and creamy. Like drawing with lipstick. Most artists seem to recommend this brand. It might be better to do under painting in less expensive set and finish with these.
