We just received this Wigwam wool watch cap this morning and cannot be any happier with our choice! Perfect timing as we are having a bit of a cold snap in San Diego so we put it to the test immediately.There are numerous benefits to this product over your standard and most likely, imported acrylic beanie. First is that is made out of 100% worsted wool and it is made in the USA.This product easily rates Five Gold Stars +1 if we could. It is a testament to made in the USA quality in fit, function and undeniable classic style. If you experience fitting issues those are easy to change. If it is too small, wearing it will stretch it out. If it is too large, popping it in the dryer will shrink it to fit. This goes the same if you feel it has stretched too much over time or if your head got smaller :).The 100% worsted wool construction makes this an incredibly durable item. In addition, the made in the USA quality insures the perfection of a decades old pattern that gives it a quality finish and stylish fit unlike the sloppier versions of imported acrylic lookalikes. Only wore it a couple of times this year; but great hat.

Unlike the fine threads of Merino Wool, this is a man's wool; Rough and Rugged. Just donning it will eliminate any moobs you may have grown from your soy lattes and replace your normal-sized jewels with a set fit to be mounted on the tiara of the Sphinx. It's like wearing a 3 Wolf Moon shirt made from burlap and barbed-wire on your head. Fortunately, I had no hair to disperse the magical effects that embrace this head wear, which is why I think it had such a huge effect. Like a murderous Frosty the Snowman, I cuffed the brim and snugged the Worsted Wool tight to my dome. The instant I put that new wool hat on top my head I felt as if I could split wood without the use of power tools. I immediately grabbed an axe, which I keep conveniently next to the front door, and headed outside. Lacking any trees in my trailer park, I swung the business end of my axe towards the entry steps to my rented double wide. In real man fashion, each swing of the axe sliced cleanly through rotted timbers that were once there waiting to give way to the next unsuspecting victim. In mere moments I had not only banished those evil steps to the realm of ghosts and wind, but I had also annihilated my neighbor's Ford Fiesta. I then uncuffed the brim of my Wigwam Mills hat. It comes with such extensive size, I could now fashion it into a cone-shaped wizards hat that extends 2 full feet from the top of my head. With sparks of glory, I donned that magical hat on top of my head. I immediately gained mystical wizard powers. I was able to hover 20 feet from the ground and glow with the halo of a thousand suns behind me. Looking down on the peasants of my trailer park as they stared up on awe and envy, I declared myself the new ruler of Rusted Acorns Trailer Park and RV Storage. Darren, the previous ruler, was outraged, but ultimately willing to abdicate the throne.

Edit: There is a fix for the sizing issue everyone is experiencing. I soaked the hat in water, towel-dried it as much as possible, then put it on my head to finish drying. This allows the hat to dry in the correct shape and size. Everyone struggling with a small hat needs to wet it and dry it wrapped around something that approximately fits their head. Now I am very satisfied with the hat.Product is warm and thick wool, not too itchy, and initially, it was exactly what I was looking for. I love that it's made in USA.The problem is that it's way too tight. It arrived and I've tried stretching it several times, but the knit and size is painfully tight. My head would be a large hat size, and wearing this for a short time leaves visible marks on my forehead.I'm going to soak it in water and let it dry over a basketball, but my hopes of a comfortable hat are low at this point. Probably good for a child, but not for me. Very disappointing.Edit: soaking in water and drying over basketball worked very well, but now it's a little too big for my head. I will try again by drying it on my own head.

This watch cap is genuine wool, and retains a good amount of heat even when wet just as it should. It fits comfortably and can survive harsh conditions without issue.Would highly recommend.Use Notes:If you buy one and it gets wet while you’re wearing it, it will shrink considerably if you take it off and let it dry. However, there is an easy fix to this. Just wet it again, and put it back on your head till it dries out.Or if you are going to wash it, when you begin drying it, blow up a ballon and put the cap over it to dry so it retains it’s fit.

Soft enough to question whether or not it's wool...no itching! Definitely warm. I'll probably buy more...can't go wrong with wool.
