Great amp for the money
I purchased the Epic1500 to power my 2 Hertz MPS 250 in my Tacoma. I installed and tuned it and this amp hits hard and is clear. You can't beat it for the money and installation and set up was easy using an oscilloscope. Would recommend to anyone building a budget build or even a higher quality build.

Fantastic amp from a reputable brand
I'm an electrical engineer and an audiophile. I love car and home audio. I've got all the right gear to measure amplifiers so here was my setup.I have 4x 500w 4 Ohm resistors to load the amp in 4, 2 and 1 ohm impedance (resistive load only).I used my 4ch Oscope to measure the output voltage, output current (using my clamp probe) and monitored the +-voltage rails to see the sag on the power supply rails at the peaks to know where clipping would be, or just before clipping.I've also measured the Epic750, EpicFIVE (5 channel system amp), and I'll review the Epic2000.So far, they either match exactly, or are slightly UNDERRATED on power delivery. So I have no doubts that any of these amps will actually hit their rated powers.AudioControl is a high quality brand.Their sub amps of the Epic series have some nice features like:- typical knobs like gain, LPF frequency adjust, and also subsonic HPF frequency adjust.- not so typical boost gain and frequency knob, a nice addition to tune your preferred bass response.- They also have the ability to Strap or Bridge 2x identical amps to 2x the total system power which is a nice feature as well.- There's a clip light they call Maximized which is a nice addition.- and it comes with an included remote gain knob, also a nice addition.- Lastly, it has a special cable to connect to their Epicenter bass restorer product, something I've never used, but I hear good things about.- The speaker lugs are large, like 8 Awg and can fit any size wire.- The amp is very small for the amount of power it produces and it is very efficient at 4 ohms (90%), and at 2 Ohms about 85%, but at 1 Ohm it drops a lot, but still delivers. All of their amps use the same Class D controller, the IRS irs2092s, even their 5 channel uses 5 of those.I personally would not ever run one of these amps at 1 Ohm. It would be better to buy a higher power one and run at 2 Ohms IMHO. I don't push things to their max, except when testing.I listened to this pound a JL Audio 12W3v3-4 sub in my office and it was very accurate and tight, very similar sound to my JL Audio 500/1 in my test bench.Overall, this amp is great. See the pictures for some details on the actuals.PS, I did not test 4 ohms, only 2 and 1 ohm. When measuring the 1 Ohm, my 160A power supply at 14.4v could not give more than 150A, so I couldn't get more than 1300W out of it, but I have no doubts at all to their claims of 1500 watts.

Great amplifier.
This AudioControl EPICFIVE speaker is a force to be reckoned with! with 1500 watts, it most certainly satisfies EPIC and conveys great sound quality and volume. The Class D plan guarantees proficiency and unwavering quality, while the high-pass and low-pass channels take into consideration exact sound customization. The subsonic channel is ideal for profound bass, and the ACR-E far off bass handle offers helpful control. Whether you're updating your vehicle sound framework or working without any preparation, this amp is a strong decision for first rate execution. The amp update alone caused the sound quality in the vehicle to feel premium. The changes are not difficult to change, no murmuring, spinning or humming of any sort. As well as having a little impression.
