For £9.99 you're getting peace of mind that these window restricters offer.They allow your windows to open up to approx. 18cm.They aren't heavy grade, which you would expect, given the price. Probably more usable for a childs bedroom, to stop them opening the window too far, than as a deterrent to stop burglars as the wire inside the plastic is only about 3mm thick.Easily installed to a wooden frame, it took me about 10 minutes.

Fitted these this morning to our upvc windows to stop the cats escaping when windows are open. Very easy to fit, especially if you drill a small pilot hole first. I did use slightly shorter screws than those provided to avoid metal inside frames. I also sited them offset to reduce the gap size, as cats are notoriously good at getting through gaps you think are too small. Doing this would possibly strain them with the weight of a toddler/child pushing on it but ok for cats I think. This was a two-pack but will be ordering 4 more for other windows now Im happy with how they fit.

Not great quality in the way of the lock. Easy to install however no instructions if you felt you needed them. But not rocket science lol

A few important things missing.I can live with having to go find some screws in the shed but a lock that comes without a key is pretty much useless.And definitely would take the "high quality" of the item description.There are pieces of metal that should have been removed still inside the lock, this indicates poor quality control.I needed to use this on a second floor window to help my child safe, I do not trust that this item is safe to use for this purpose just caused of the lack of control, finish and the fact a crucial part of it is missing

Does as it should

Good and easy to fix (see illustrations on the product page; no instructions are supplied in the packet). I used a shorter screw on one of the windows as the one supplied hit the metal inside the frame. To shorten the opening, place the catch so it is not parallel with the base lock on the window.
