Works Through Cabinet door perfectly
I hid the transformer and controller inside a cabinet and was pleasantly surprised to see the controller worked through the door. The remote is far from high quality as I read in another review, it's flimsy, made in China quality, but it does work.My daughter has the cheap 30led/meter all in one cheap setup in her room, I went with rgbw 120led/meter separate transformer and controller and installed them in diverters... and quite frankly, there is Very Little difference between the 2. We're talking over $150 vs. Less than $30. Don't get me wrong, my setup is brighter, and you can't see the individual lights on the wall, but I'm not sure all the extra work and money are justified. If you are going this route you should also know you'll almost certainly need a spool of rgbw wire, the ability to solder, the ability to use crimp connectors and heat shrinks, and all the tools to do all those things. The quick connectors don't work, period. The bottom line, I build houses for a living for 20 years, and this was a headache! If you don't have experience with wiring or electronics, you're going to struggle.

Works Great and the RF range is good
Seems like many things like this can be flaky at best, but this just works and pretty well too. I'm running it with a pair of 24V LED strips connected in parallel to the controller (LED strips are in series). I'm currently running 380 RGB and 380 warm white LEDs all together. I used some wire ferrules on the wires going into the controller, and designed a water tight enclosure which I 3D printed to house this controller outside. With everything installed I have to say I am impressed by the remote, and lack of any flakiness with this controller/remote combo. It seems to just work. I bought another set from a different retailer after using the one I purchased from Amazon. I have yet to install the 2nd controller but I plan to control 2 units with one remote. I am using this with RGBW LEDs and a Mean Well HLG-240H-24B 24V power supply which is great too.The instructions for the controller and remote are clear and pairing worked as it described. The programmable buttons are also very easy to set up. Just set the lights the way you want them, and then hold one of the four programmable buttons (labeled as S1, S2, S3 and S4) down for 3 seconds to save the current color/brightness.I found that there are two models of the remote, the one I purchased here is the single zone controller with the 4 programmable buttons, but there is another 4 zone remote which re-arranged the buttons and replaces two of programmable buttons with buttons for each zone. The 4 zone remote has buttons labeled 1,2,3,4 at the top (which is how to tell them apart), and can be found on the popular auction site. Unless you require independent control of multiple LED strips though, I think the single zone remote is a better way to go for simplicity (the one sold here is a single zone). And the single zone controller is able to pair with and control multiple controllers simultaneously (though I have not yet tested this feature).Another cool feature of the remote which I just noticed while installing the LED's is that it has a pretty strong magnet on the back and will stick to my fridge and not slide down. I had planned on designing a simple dock for the remote and probably still will, but the magnet is going to be very handy. If there is any negative thing I can think of, it is that it can be hard to turn off the colors when you only want white on. I am still getting used to the remote however and it is never a real problem. Not a negative, but rather a feature I would like to see is some sort of music control and possibly some additional fading animations for Christmas, Halloween or other Holiday themes, possibly including the white LED channel.

Solved my issues!
I purchased an LED strip kit from another seller to install lighting under my 33' travel trailer. The led controller that came with the kit didn't like the 12v being put out even though it was rated for 12 to 24v. The controller sparked when power was connected to and burned out. A replacement one did the same thing. I ordered this led controller and it works wonderfully. No issues at all. Very pleased, and the remote is excellent as well!

High Quality LED Controller & Remote
I connected this controller to a 100W 12V power supply and an RGBWW 5050 LED strip. The look and feel of the remote is very nice. I had assumed that the remote would need line of sight with the controller, but that does not seem to be the case. The remote is able to change colors of the LED even with the controller tucked into a cabinet. The instructions that came with the remote are well written in easily understandable English which I appreciate that. Having said that I still felt that there was a bit of a learning curve in figuring out how to use the remote, especially when it comes to getting the LEDs to only be in warm white mode or automatically cycling through the colors. For example, when you press the W button is powers on the WW portion of the LED, but it does not completely power down the colored LED chips. If you want pure white light you have to hold down the R, G, and B buttons to completely shut off those channels. I ended up programming several of the preset color buttons to different intensities of pure white light in order to make accessing those colors easier. Many of the buttons have different functions if they are long pressed instead of short pressed. These functions are explained in the instructions, but it can be hard to remember how to get the remote to do what you would like it to do. At one point I somehow managed to make it so that I was unable to activate the colored LED channels with the remote, and then somehow changed it to function normally again. I have no idea what combination of buttons I pressed to do this.I like that fact that when the power supply is unplugged, the LEDs revert to the color and intensity that were set at when the power supply is plugged back in. I plan to use these light with a smart plug so this feature will be nice.I also purchased a 2nd controller that I have not hooked up yet, but I am excited to see how well the syncing function works using one remote and two controllers.

Good quality but a little complicated
It takes a little while to get used to this remote mainly because it just has too few buttons to achieve all the functions. In particular, buttons that switch different levels of lighting, and most of them do, really should have been two buttons instead of one. One to increase and one to decrease. Having to use a single button to do both really makes it frustrating. I have included a picture of the instructions so you see what I mean. Most of the buttons have dual functions. You can see there is a lot of functionality in this little remote. I almost knocked off a star for the difficulty of using it.

Superb
Bought 10 units to assist in back lighting media wall areas, synced all units to get faultless uniform colours and brightness etc.. achieved the desired effect to suit our budgets 👍 remote works from a good 20mtrs or more away
