Cambridge Audio Topaz AM5, Entry-level integrated Amplifier (Black)

This is an excellent amp for my purposes - I only use the Aux input (for my mixer) and occasionally use the MP3 input on the front - it's plenty loud enough for a converted free-standing single garage.The sound quality is perfectly acceptable for my vinyl and MP3s and the ability to listen to both without too much messing around was probably the main reason for the purchase as a front MP3 input is still quite a rare feature on amps in this price range.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably-priced amp to fill a medium sized room.

Very good sound handling, the pin ups are limited somewhat as they do not accept plug in speaker cable and I am reluctant to fix with cut ends so use recorder system output, I think I need a decent CD player but for now it runs off DVD, in any case I use headphones and speakers which I can switch off for other people's comfort when the next cable component is delivered. Beautifully presented I could put this and the speakers on a dining room sideboard and it would appear to have been built for their visual purposes Slick solid and an amplifier well made and pin fittings solid for sound stability.

Paired with my B &W LM 1's or the wharfedale 9.1's this amp sounded thin and cold.I changed it for a Yamaha AS500 which sounds as good as my old Denon did.may be OK with fuller speakers.

this amp is really great!...I replaced an old technics amp and I was really shocked at just how good this amp sounds....its really cheap and what u get for the price is outstanding!!..... im using a pair of good bose speakers and they sound superb using this amp....overall I highly recommend this amp if u want something cheap but good quality :)

A replacement for a much loved valve amp, I was a little concerned that this would lack the warmth of sound that the valve amp added. My fears were unfounded - it sounds every bit as rounded. It is a 'no frills' unit, so dont expect flashing lights and bells and whistles (including there is no headphone socket) - but I do think this has meant that Cambridge have focused entirely on the quality of the components inside. And that, after all, is what matters. Great amplifier, very pleased - and as usual the service from Richer Sounds is excellent.

Solidly built and very nice appearance. Plenty of power for a small cottage. The only "oops" point over the old unit it replaced was no headphone socket. Plenty of inputs. Good selector switches. Immediately a much more open sound. It is money well focused on very good basics.

Great product for the price...the cheapest amp I've ever bought.Matched with AE Evo 3 speakers this amp sounds clear and punchy... Plenty of power without need to adjust tone controls even at low volumes.Unless you want to pay loads more I would recommend this.

my system may have given me a bit of shit but richersounds are top notch and know what they are on about

L'amplificatore per la poca potenza che esprime è ottimo ,suona bene ,io l'ho abbinato a due diffusori da scaffale della polk, unico neo , non so se la colpa è dell'amplificatore ,è il fruscio che si sente alzando molto il volume. Comunque lo ricomprerei.
