Water Filter Replacement Parts for Berkey® BB9-2 Black Purification Elements & PF-2 Fluoride Filters - 4 Pack

I just got these about 2 weeks ago in June 2025. The first filtration produced some fine sediment. I clean the system again and it is very clear water. I boil the water and let it cool to room temperature before filtering. I think it's a good system. I filters slower because the floride filters are in the water basin submerged. I think it is a wonderful filtration system. Taste improved. Product seems well made.

Bought filter set, but when I opened the box, both ceramic filters were damaged so I did a Return. When I got the replacement, while the filters were not damaged, they should have been. The packaging leaves the shorter bottom filter unsecured so that it will bounce into the taller ceramic filter during handling process. Really poor way to ship material. Recommend opening box and inspecting immediately upon receipt to assure there are no cracks (look closely with good light) or even holes, which render the filter useless. Both broken filter images (2) are from Returned box, third image is of replacement box filters. Even though replacement filters were not damaged, was poorly designed packaging in the first place (manufacturer issue).

I used the solid carbon filters for number years and got to the end of their useful life. So I decided to get the latest and greatest for the family . I think the new ceramic filters along with the fluoride and heavy metal filters are the way to go. In my opinion, I think the water tastes amazing and I am very happy with it. As a sidenote, I would love to see filters that focus on being able to remove heavy metals to high degree being specification as to how well they function.

I haven't tested it yet but the water taste clean and fresh. Much better than filtered fridge water.....ugh.

Got 2 packs of ceramic filters with the fluoride filters. 2 of the ceramic filters are cracked. One all the way from top to bottom. Let's the water bypass the filter. So I had 50% product failure open opening and visual inspection. Poor quality control. Both boxes had half the ceramic filters defective. 1 each. I kept half the order to use to filter water for fish tank but I don't trust for human consumption. With 50% immediate failure. Who knows what it lets pass the filter. Who knows what it is actually made of as ceramic should not just be cracked with no damage to the package. It was packed well. I will post a pic and video soon.
