Bambu Lab A1: Long-Term User Review
The Bambu Lab A1 has been a workhorse in my setup. After putting significant time into various projects, from functional prints to detailed models, I have a clear picture of where this machine stands for both hobbyists and power users. Performance and Reliability The print quality remains consistent even after extensive use. The setup is straightforward, and the active flow rate compensation ensures that layers stay smooth without constant manual calibration. It handles intricate geometries with ease, which is a testament to its motion control system. Long-Term Durability With over 1500 hours printing on it, I am still really liking it. The machine has held up remarkably well under heavy workloads. While I have encountered minor material compatibility warnings in the past, the hardware itself is resilient and continues to deliver reliable results day after day. Future Outlook While the A1 is an incredible entry and mid-level machine, there are limitations when it comes to high-temperature materials or specific enclosure-dependent prints. Because of this, I am looking at upgrading to the H2C at some point in the future to expand my capabilities. Final Verdict If you want a printer that just works, the A1 is a top contender. It is a reliable tool for anyone looking to get serious about 3D printing without the constant headache of troubleshooting hardware failures.

A exceptional product
I don’t normally write reviews, I got into the 3d printing hobby a few years ago for scale modeling I’ve been through several filament and resin printers over the years and this is hands down the best filament printer I have ever owned. Literally plug and play this printer is a work horse. I had a few power surges while I was running it and the printer can resume from where it left off without any noticeable issues, I am so impressed I am looking at getting a second one. Highly recommend for anyone looking to get into the hobby this printer gave me zero headaches something I never thought I would say about a filament printer.

Best 3d printer
Ive bought a lot of 3d printers this is the Cadillac of 3d printing. There is a learning curve to setting up with computer but when it’s done it’s plug and play. I’ve had zero failed prints. Zero bed level issues zero print sticking to bed issues. Easy to remove print from bed. Beginners buy this you will not be sorry.

Fast, precise printer but AMS Lite availability can be a challenge
The Bambu Lab A1 has been a great 3D printer so far. Setup was quick and straightforward, and I was printing not long after unboxing. The printer feels very well engineered and the overall build quality is solid. However, if you want to print multiple colors, it is very unlikely to get your hands on the AMS Lite

Three bought, Three returned. Not as Advertised,
I don’t like to give detailed negative reviews. But, this time, a. The nozzle is not ‘quick swap’ as advertised. Their instructional video shows that the hot end blower fan should be removed, plus cycles of heating and cooling the nozzle. b. The speed in not ‘high speed’ as advertised. I have used several high speed printers (usually advertised as ‘up to 600 mm/sec’) The speed of this printer is consistent with cheaper ones. Using the ‘sport’ and ‘ludicrous’ speed options on the printer itself, resulted in less defined edges and overall loss of quality. c. I lost one load of models on one printer because it stopped in the middle of printing, and the screen was unresponsive. d. I lost two loads of models on another printer because it stopped in the middle of printing, and the screen showed that the print was completed. The above was all despite several cycles of full self check. However, I was using the printers @ 23 hours a day, 7 days a week. I guess this heavy load was part of the problem. The positive points, eg, very quiet motors, ease of loading, and overall quality of prints at the slower speeds do not make up for the above negatives. Sorry Bambu Lab.

THEY JUST WORK, AND THEY WORK WELL
This is a great 3D printer for beginners or even for advanced makers who expect to print in PLA, PETG, or possibly even TPU. To print engineering-grade materials such as ABS or ASA, get a printer with an enclosure. I have bought many Bambu Lab printers, and I can confidently say that they just work--they are like the "Apple of 3D printing" in that the printer (hardware), slicer (software), and model repository (content) are all seamlessly integrated. Of course, I've done knucklehead things like getting failed prints due to not cleaning my build plate, but barring user errors, these printers work great and are fast. I've also had some hardware issues with my Bambu Lab printers in the past, and I must say that their customer support team is terrific. Recently I had an issue with my A1, and even though my A1 printer was past the 1-year warranty in the US, they helped me diagnose the problem and even sent me a replacement power switch assembly free of charge, and after installing it, my printer was up and running again. This exceeded my expectations.
