Initial review - I won't be addressing reliability over time as this item is new to me.This is an improvement over my 5+ year old induction plate.Things I like: 1) the temperature monitoring of the cookware being heated seems more responsive. My previous induction cooktop would begin to boil small amounts of water even with the temperature set to 140 degrees, at least for a couple minutes, before reducing power to maintain 140 degrees. 2) while the cooling fan inside the unit is certainly not silent, is isn't as loud as my older unit and seems to have multiple speeds - higher when the power or temperature is higher, slower (slightly less sound) when the power or temperature are lower, slow during the cool-down period. 3) the readout shows 'hot' when the surface has been heated by hot cookware on top - in the time between uses, I now know if the surface has cooled.There are a good number of function options, so your choices may take a few button presses to accomplish. They are mostly easy to learn - not a problem if you actually want a good number of presets and options.If this unit remains reliable, I won't need to return for an edit :-)

My kitchen has a gas oven, which makes the room really hot in the summer, and if the heat isn’t controlled well, pots can burn or get too hot to handle. That’s why I bought this induction cooktop, and it’s been great. It has multiple power settings and modes for things like boiling water or cooking, plus a timer function. It boils water quickly, cooks noodles faster, and I love that the handles don’t get hot at all. Some reviews mentioned it can be noisy, but compared to other appliances I own, it’s not that loud. I also like that it’s slimmer and lighter than similar models.

The best feature of induction cooktops is that they don't heat up the kitchen, and in hot weather that is important.As everybody says, you get fast cooking and fast cool off.I threw out my old electric stove and got two induction cooktops, different brand and color, and they look so nice and modern on a SS kitchen table.

I cook every day because I live and work from home. Since I bought this cooktop, everything is easier. It heats up super fast and is efficient. The temperature controls behave consistently. I use a laser thermometer to monitor them, and they are.Compared to a gas stove, it heats the pan for making eggs without oil 5 times faster.I use the stainless steel coffee kettle every day, and it heats the water to 90°C in 4 minutes.I had a problem with the unit, and warranty service was immediate. They responded the same day and are there to help you. Excellent service. Everything is resolved now.Since they didn't have mail service to my country, they offered to buy me another unit, and they did.

the tempertures it diplays are much lower than what it heats too but all these seem to do that. (do any of the manufacturers know that 212 is boiling?)But it does let you dial down to a "simmer" temp. So helpful to have another surface when there is a lot of traffic on the kitchen. This cooktop has been a great addition to my daily life, works really well and cut the cooking time to the half. Super easy to carry around and the size is perfect to store it on any spot. The glass surface is easy to clean. I’m really happy with this purchase.

This item heats very unevenly. I have tried two separate skillets, and the unit only heats up in the upper left quadrant. The lower left doesn't produce much, or any heat. I have turned both skillets in various directions, always with the same result. Drop an egg in the upper half and it will fry up quickly, drop one in the lower portion, and it basically just sits there. Does the same when I cooked some hamburgers, and pancakes. After the grease should be sufficiently hot, flicking some water in it gives a definite response in the upper quadrant, but little reaction in the other half. The instructions are uninformative. Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but I never had a similar problem with a gas stove/burner. I don't like the conventional electric burners, because they tend to warp, and the skillets/pots have to be set off of the burners because they retain heat, which this thing requires also. The choices/options for cooking are far more 'sophisticated' than necessary, and choosing the wrong option may be part of the problem I'm having, but there is nothing I've found that even addresses my problem with this device.

I was looking for an induction burner that could boil a pot of water super quickly. Is it as fast as my old range that had induction, no - but its still fast. You can boil a small pot of water in less than 3 minutes with this thing which is a win in my book. I love the instant responsiveness of induction and how its better on your cookware's longevity. The controls are easy to use and while it does make some noise during use, its typical for induction products to do that. I don't mind at all and am very happy with the performance and power of this burner. Highly recommend. I've tried others and found them to be far too weak and slow to boil water. This one is a great balance of cost and power/features.
