Kit is as described and works to re-string my wind chime. As other reviews noted, the holes are small and it’s hard to get the threaded needle threader through . But with patience persistence we got it done. I’m happy to have my wind chime back.

Not gonna lie this took some effort but the end result was a totally rehabbed chime that was a cherished family gift.GOOD- all parts are there and more - very thorough set- the wood finish is very nice- the pieces seem good quality and not junk- well balanced if assembled correctly- good value for the money- liked the end result (see pic)BAD- instructions were 4 on a 1-10 scale 😵‍💫- the holes are extremely small for the nylon thread (see tips)- the threaders are flimsy and break - meant for sewing thread not cordMEH- That little hammer is cute but wasn’t really needed 🔨TIPS / HACKS- we ended up making the holes slightly bigger with a small drill bit - but only SLIGHTLY- we then tied the nylon chord to strong sewing thread and then a sturdy large sewing needle; worked like a charm- Make sure you keep track of top / bottom and visualize how the SINGLE thread will go through all the chimes and wooden center - otherwise you will have many do-overs- if you are not even remotely handy or don’t have good tactile hand skills, don’t bother- it took us a good couple of hours to do one set of chimes (me and my wife) - longer than that and you will have to just chuck it and get new chimes… or risk divorce lol 😂Good luck to all!

Everything you need in one box to replace old parts of your windchimes. Would highly recommend instead of buying separate pieces. Instructions are easy to follow. Solid and durable.

This was a great price and kit to repair my wind chime. It was easy to follow instructions and all the pieces were helpful. Now to see if it holds up to the elements and remains nice.

This order included all parts, except the chimes , to repair my wind chimes. I was able to replace the part that I needed on my old chime and save the rest

I'm updating my review a few months later, after several unsuccessful attempts to restring my chimes. For someone who has never attempted this project, the instruction sheet included with the kit is not very helpful. I haven't found a DIY video with step-by-step instructions for a repair kit with this particular design. I wish the listing included a link to one. The pre-drilled holes also seem to be too small for the nylon string that comes with the kit. I've been able to use the needle threader to get the string through some of the holes, but the thread bunches up and frays in the process, very frustrating. Maybe be prepared to drill slightly larger holes? I stand by my original assessment that the materials i n the kit are good quality, but if you're new to this kind of project, beware the claims that it's going to be easy to install, hassle-free assembly, simple and efficient.Original review: I have a set of wind chimes with beautiful tuning whose wooden parts have deteriorated from weather exposure, and I'm delighted to have a way to salvage it. The repair kit I received has all of the parts and pieces shown in the product listing, including a pamphlet with instructions and photos. The instructions are fairly basic, so I'll be seeking out some DIY videos before starting this project. Overall, though, I'm really pleased with the quality of this set, especially the wooden parts. I'm not sure the stain color looks much different in my photo compared to the listing photos, but it is ever so slightly more warm and reddish than it appears to me in the listing, less of a honey and somewhere in between stain colors minwax calls gunstock and colonial maple. Make sure before you order that you're replacing parts for a chime with six tubes.
