Brother SE700 Embroidery & Sewing Machine with Starter Bundle

I am absolutely loving my Brother embroidery machine! I was a little nervous at first since I’m new to machine embroidery, but the setup was surprisingly simple, and the touchscreen interface walks you through everything step-by-step. Within the first day, I had already completed a few monogrammed towels and a cute design on a tote bag. The built-in designs are great to start with, and importing new ones via USB is super easy. The stitching is precise, and the machine runs quietly and smoothly. This sewing machine is amazing! I’m am NOT a crafty person or a sewing, mending, embroidery wiz or computer software engineer or any of the things some of the machines out there seem to demand from the buyer so things can run smoothly. The many options this machine came with was a real value. Other machines I was looking at and comparing price, functionality, ability to use without an engineering degree or computer science degree wanted to charge for what I would consider necessary to do some cool projects without having to wait for those “extra” options to arrive. This is my first sewing/embroidery machine. I am so happy with this machine and all of the many projects I can do. The day it arrived I couldn’t wait to repair a tear in my comforter and I was apprehensive about my ability to get that done. I was intimidated by previous attempts with threading the machine and nightmare about bobbins and so on. Once I unpacked this machine the fear was gone, everything is easily shown On The Machine! Threading the needle is another thing I was worried about, it does it for you! I would absolutely recommend this purchase and I am so happy I made this decision.

I am very pleased with this machine, my first order was lost in the delivery system but the company was wonderful about getting a new shipment to me. It has everything you need to get started embroidering or sewing. The self threading capability it a nice touch! The machine is very easy to use it has built in designs that you can change size and placement, you also can use the app for additional designs some are free and some are included in yearly membership with is not required to use machine

This machine is ok, You cannot trust it with good clothes as it does eat them often. I have had so many things ruined because the machine does not always work well. It is easy to use, but it is not worth it due to the time to set up your item just for the machine to mess it up. I would not buy this item again. Too much money to be messing up and destroying my clothes.

The SE700 works well for sewing. Did not try embroidery yet but did download a couple of patterns over the net to the machine. It uses 2.4Ghz b/g/n wifi which is not specified anywhere except found online - kind of old. The sewing was not perfect, sadly. On a triangle pattern, about 2 inches of sewing, one triangle was slightly different sized than the rest. On using fat thread (cotton) with thin, pre-spooled thread, it worked but not great as I would expect on a new machine even with the top_thread vs bobbin_thread mismatch. I am totally new to sewing. The instructions are mostly clear. There are many of them but they could still be better in places, especially how to put the bobbin in. The semi-auto threader got stuck but I didn't know it was as I didn't know what to expect. Watching one of the several videos would have helped me. It works great if you know what you are doing. All that was pictured was in package. The picture does lie a bit as a flat screwdriver is shown with the feet and the seam ripper is shown in 2 parts but image of contents is mostly accurate. The description is accurate. purchased from: World Weidner - Machine Embroidery Supplies, Arrived quickly. The software on the machine and PC downloadable worked as expected. The Aspire app is not really useful unless you get the subscription and who really wants to edit patterns on their phone? However, there are plenty of things online to use and to keep you busy. This package (with starter bundle) has a cd with about 850 medium-low quality (generally cartoonish) images and about 6 fonts. Each image comes in a variety of file formats: jef, pes, art, hus, dst, pcs, pec, pxp, sew, xxx, shv. Would get it again as its affordable for an embroidery machine.

I love using this to personalize my clothing and my kids clothing. It was originally a gift for my wife but she barely used it. So I learned how to use it ( not hard to learn ) and started customizing!
