Chocolate Drip 125g Cobalt

Colour Mill drips are brilliant if you want an alternative to a ganache drip. Easy to heat up ( I used the microwave method) and cover cakes well. They do set very quickly so you do need to work quite quickly. Colour range is brilliant and I think they are good value for money. The taste is lovely, not too sweet and the consistency is great for drips on a tall cake. Overall a great product that cuts costs and time!

I am an amateur baker and had a request for a cake with drip. I was tempted to make a ganache but realised by the time I had bought candy melts, food colouring and double cream, it was just not cost effective. I saw this product and thought I would give it a try. I was a little put off by some of the negative reviews but decided to order anyway. The product is SO SIMPLE to use. Follow the instructions provided and make sure you shake really well to distribute the heat. I only had to heat once and tested on a glass to make sure it was the right consistency. I took the cake from the fridge for approx half an hour so it wouldnt be too cold and then used the drip. It dies harden very quickly so bear that in mind. But so easy and I have lots left, bonus being it lasts 2 years and can be melted time and time again. I am thinking it will be used up at Christmas when making cakes with Christmas Trees on. Would highly recommend and will definitely buy again in different colours if needed. It tastes good too!

I’ve used ready made drips before and been unimpressed, but this was really easy to use. The squeezy bottle really helped in melting it. It stayed a nice shine after it dried. The only reasons I knocked off a star: didn’t taste very nice (but presumably its compound chocolate so not surprising) and it dried soooo quickly I wasn’t able to put any decorations on it. But it dripped beautifully, would recommend.

So impressed with this, was my first time ever doing the ‘drip’ effect for a Wicked cake, and was really easy to use. Set really quickly so the drips where I wanted to make a bit longer went a bit wrong, but still looked fab. Just need to move quite quickly. The colour was bright and only used a bit of the tube to get the effect. Tasted good too!

This was the first time I had used this product and followed the instructions to the letter and it was awful. Regardless of what I did and I shook it a lot the drips were gloopy and did not drip nicely at all. It reminded me of lumpy tipex! However I used the milk chocolate one as well and followed exactly the same instructions and it dripped with a lovely consistency so not sure whether is different ingredient but wouldn’t buy the white chocolate one again. Milk chocolate one was fab!

So easy to use! Needed a color drizzle for cake pops and rather than buying the dyes and dying my own candy melts, then having to figure out how to get a nice drizzle line, I got This product instead. It worked out perfectly, microwaved to a perfect consistency and created perfect drizzle lines! Colors were accurate to the pictures (I got the light green and also a Tiffany blue). I used on about 25 large cake pops and still had a ton left over so I’d say it was worth the money. We used such a small amount I cant Really speak to the taste but it definitely didn’t add anything bad. Would totally buy again just for the ease!
