Works as advertised
Works well with my dashcam. Makes supplying power easy and clean. I hate tapping into the fusebox. It's actually a bit dangerous because the taps can get loose over time. This taps into the OBD II port for power. Just plug it in. If you need the OBD port for something, just unplug this until you are good to go. No hassle.

Works a treat.
My dashcam was powered from the supplied 12 volt plug using the cigarette lighter socket in the front of the car which older cars all had.The lead used to dangle from the camera in front of the rear view mirror down to the socket in front of the gear lever.New car has no such socket in the front of the car, it's in the boot. What to do? Run a long cable from the boot through the body of the car? Seemingly this can result in interference with the radio signal and anyway it's a bit of a faff. Some dashcams can be powered from one of the USB ports but would permanently occupy that port. It's possible to buy a type of fuse which can be 'piggy-backed' into the car's fuse board with a lead to power the camera but there are reasons why this isn't always desirable and again it's faffy and liable to be frowned upon if you lease your car. This gizmo simply draws power from the OBD port just below the steering wheel. It plugs in simply and cleanly.Instead of having to manually switch the camera on, it switches itself on when the ignition comes on and switches off five minutes after it goes off.Additionally, it activates if the car is jostled or bumped. The cable is now tucked neatly behind the headlining and much less prone to being snagged. This is a sweet solution to powering a dashcam.

Justo lo que necesitaba
Dash cam. AZDOME.
