Great value, great set.
Great set with 9 different poses and 18 mounted figures all separate from their horses. This is a much better set than the earlier Italeri Scots Greys set. The bearskin hat has the waterproof cover and therefore is not as glamorous as with the plume and braids, but that is not a big issue compared to the high standard of the detail on the figures. The historical accuracy, sculpting and mould are all excellent. The figures do not come painted.

ANOTHER NICE COLLECTION OF ITALERI FIGURES!
The British Cavalry of the Napoleonic Wars, although gallant, was prone to charging too far and suffering devastating counterattacks. So it was with the Scots Greys at the battle of Waterloo. This nice collection of ITALERI 1:72 scale figurines has 36 parts (not the 34 as stated on the box!) on a couple of white plastic sprues to assemble 18 troopers complete with horses. The horses have 4 different poses including galloping and rearing, although none are standing still, while the troops themselves give 8 poses. These include an Officer (who appears to be holding a broken saber), a Trumpeter, soldiers holding a pistol and firing a carbine, and all the others carrying sabers in various positions. Sadly none are in the classic pose of holding their saber outstretched in front of them. There is flash on some of the figures, most notably the horse bridles and sabers, although they all look nicely detailed. Each figurine is held securely to the sprue via three different points and - especially with the horses - a sharp modelling knife and great care will be required to separate them. The back of the box has a detailed painting guide and 10 different paints are required to bring the troops to life.Yet another superb addition to the Napoleonic Wars by ITALERI, great for display or the wargames table, these Scots Grey figurines will do justice to any collection - as long as we keep a keen eye on how far they charge!
