My bottle was produced in 2011, with an expiration of 1/15/2014. Although the label does not state the amount of phenols this oil contains, it does have a distinct bitterness, which is an indication of high levels of phenols. This is a good thing, since phenols provide desirable anti-oxidant effects.

The olives used are ideal to produce a P.D.O. Valli Trapanesi extra virgin olive oil, one of the most prestigious Sicilian P.D.O.s. The result is a product with a very strong personality, with the typical fragance that recalls the fresh fruit and with a pleasant almond aftertaste. Lorenzo #1 is a slightly dense oil, brilliant green in colour with golden yellow reflections, spicy with a persistent herbaceous and intensely fruity flavor. This monocultivar of "Cerasuola" obtained from olives from organic farming in the territory of production PDO Valli Trapanesi, one of the most prestigious Sicilian PDO, offers an extra virgin olive oil with intense fruity, with the typical fragrance that reminds us of the fresh fruit and a pleasant aftertaste almond.

Q: Hello, what is the expiration date for the latest batch being sold? Our last shipment had only 10 months to expiration.

Thanks for bringing to my attention. Yes my bottle is also best by 10 months expiration. This time period works for me, even past the 10 months, it should be still good within reason. It's a delicious olive oil and I will continue to re-order.
