Philips GC6730/36 Fast Care Compact Steam Generator with Boost for Faster Ironing, 1.3 Litre, 2400 W [Energy Class A]

I have wanted one of these for some time and, after reading the reviews, decided that this was for me. So far, I have no regrets about buying it. I have arthritis and this iron makes ironing almost a pleasure. It is light-weight, easy to fill and empty; and does the job with ease and is pretty much maintenance free. Jury is out on durability as I haven't had it long. However, I no longer dread the task or ironing. Over all, I would recommend this to anyone wanting a low-cost reliable stream generator iron.

I really like this steam generator iron - it is lightweight, irons very well and has useful functions, such as a descaler function, which I have yet to use. I do not have a problem with the reservoir not being removable as I fill it up from a jug, rather than from a sink tap. I had to do this with my old model. My only gripe is that the angle of the iron holder is very steep and I worry about the iron falling off if I replace it too quickly or a bit carelessly. As I keep the unit on a table while ironing, the iron would then smash to the floor and likely damage flooring/carpet and the iron itself. Otherwise, a brilliant product.

Great steam station! Heats up quickly, does a wonderful job and saves half of my ironing time spent with a classic steam iron. Affordable...The only improvement I could suggest is some kind of locking system of iron on top of station as at the moment it slides off freely if not held in place when you move the station...when stationary it's stable. But totally worth the money!

One thing I hate about certain irons is they take forever to get started up and if I am in a rush this can delay me quite a bit! This iron is the opposite of that - quick save for the odd shirt you need to iron. When using for a bigger pile of laundry, its light weight and steam is great. Never have to go over clothing too much to get a good results. Highly recommend. Nice colour too!

Item arrived really quickly. The iron is good enough, but I prefer my previous Phillips SpeedCare Steam Generator. This iron is slightly heavier and the actual iron is longer, which I find more difficult to manage. I did notice it also spat water on to the clothes.

This is a great product. I have purchased many steam generators and this is by far the best. Light weight and makes ironing almost enjoyable. Creases come out easily by pressing the button. Superior results. Highly recommend.Update - I have had this iron since June 2019. It has never gone wrong, and still as good as new. I have a family and I have big loads to iron. This iron is so worth the money.

Bought this to replace my more expensive Morphy Richards iron as was fed up paying out for the irons that always seemed to break after the 2 year warranty.I think this Iron is much better, lightweight and irons really well.The only thing I dislike about it is the lead on the top end of the handle doesn’t sit down and tends to rub your wrist, other than that it is perfect and I would have given it 5 stars

Love this steam generatorI have had used generators for around 10 years and had a really expensive one and it got knocked out of a cupboard and broke so in hast I brought cheaper one and couldn’t get on with it.I used my mums Phillips one I loved it so much more effectiveSo I decided to treat myself it’s a great item heats quickly and the clothes look great after. Speed through the weekly ironing pile makes the job easy and enjoyable
