Q: Can you cut the plug & switch off and wire into switch or is the a transformer in the circuit?

Transformer is in the circuit you can remove the plug but not the transformer

Q: is product bendable flexable

Good morning, this product is relatively thick (7mm) and can be bent into some arcs, but it cannot be bent directly to 90 degrees, which will damage the LED PCB. We have some accessories to make it turn corners, please search the code on Amazon: B07TJFQRZH , B07TKLDPJQ , B07TMNPCQC for this strip, the PCB size 6mm is proper.

Q: Can I wire these into a wall mounted trailing edge dimmer switch? Was thinking I'd cut the end off and connect them to an existing light fitting.

Hi. I have never tried this. However there are issues with led lighting and dimmer switches unless they are specifically designed for that purpose. Most led lighting will light at such low voltage it can be tricky and there are also issues with flickering etc. In my application I simply removed the plug and fitted them to smart switches which are mostly operated from door contacts (obviously with time constraints and timers). Interesting idea which may possibly work with the correct dimmer. Obviously always use caution with mains potential and make sure everything is isolated and safe before starting. Good luck anyway.

Q: Is the mains lead detachable

No it is firmly fixed. I did take the plug off so I could wiggle the lead through to an indoor plug but anything more than this would need proper electrical skills.
