Great dictation machine, good quality sound, easy to use & great for research interviews!

I'm feeling robbed right now. There were now details provided about how to access the software I purchased. The user guide is trivial. Basically it's impossible to use what I have bought.

I needed an encrypted audio recorder for research and bought this. Although the sound quality is fantastic, I found it very difficult and confusing to use. I would not recommend this.

Ich habe das Gerät jetzt seit ungefähr zwei Jahren 5 Tage die Woche in Betrieb und erinnerte mich warum auch immer plötzlich an diese eine sehr schlecht ausgefallene Rezension hier. Diese Rezension ließ mich damalig zögern und weiter recherchieren. Letztlich ging ich dann das vermeintliche Risiko des Kaufs ein. Ich bereue den Erwerb nicht. Es fallen hier täglich ungefähr 10-20 relativ kurze Diktate meist unter je zwei Minuten an. Die Übermittlung der Diktate per WLAN erfolgt problemlos, wenn auch die Sendereichweite des Geräts etwas begrenzt erscheint. Es ging bisher noch kein Diktat durch technische Probleme oder Schusseligkeit bei der Bedienung verloren. Das Gerät ist den ganzen Tag auf Standby und damit stets praktisch sofort betriebsbereit. Abends kommt das Gerät in die Ladeschale. Wird dies einmal vergessen, reicht die Akkuladung noch für einen zweiten Arbeitstag. Mehr aber wohl nicht. Die Bedienung des Geräts per Schiebeschalter ist exczellent, die Qualität der Aufnahmen gab bisher keinen Anlass zur Kritik.

Well, as engineering professional I have been using voice recorders/ dictation devices for decades. Philips DPM with it's rough housing have been my choice for years before I switched to the Philips PSP series. Well, I still love my PSP device, the form factor, the hard shell, the WLAN functionality and especially the unique slide switch; the only suitable way to dictation suitable on the go (blind), as a controlling engineer a dream. Unfortunately, searching for the next version of the PSP, I should discover that Philips (silently in the backoffice) decided to stop the PSP line completely. Wow, that's hard as customer to realize, as I invested in devices, a brand and workflow, docking stations and more. Currently there seems to be no other device as this from Olympus available with WLAN, so I gave it a go. The package is fine, BUT, the device itself, the plastics and especially the device in the leather case - hey there Olympus- that's nothing any suitable for real day 2 day use under whatever kind of industrial (out of office) conditions. The price would be OK if the device would promise longevity, but (at least for me) there is instantly a opposite feeling starting with the wrong look & feel, the plastics, the leather case and the overall appearance. Sorry, can't believe that this is the end of the line in this dictation segment. Hope at least Philips will come up with a DPM soon with at least BT and WLAN and an USB-C plug. Can't be so hatd to get that done, isn't? Can't even imagine how that should stay alive for more than a week and using thus in the leather case, that's more than cumbersome (ti say

Das Diktiergerät ist gegenüber meinen ehmaligen Gerät DS-5000 ein herber Rückschritt: Haptik: Das Gerät mutet durch die Plastikhülle unwertig an. Die Metallhülle des DS-5000 hatte schon was. Abstürze: Das Gerät häng sich regelmäßig auf und kann nur durch Akku raus/rein wiederbelebt werden. Booten: Die Ladezeit ist eine Frechheit. Ich stehe mit dem Ding auf der Baustelle und muss ewig warten, bis sich das Teil aus dem Tiefschlaf wiedererwacht. Im Vergelich zum DS-5000 ein herber Rückschlag in der Funktion. In jeder Baubesprechung ein Highlight! Akkulaufzeit: Eine Frechheit! Der Vorgänger lief teils Wochenlang ohne Netz (Benutze das Gerät nicht täglich). Das 9500er schafft bei weinig Benutzung gerade mal 3-5 Tage ohne Saft, dann ist es von alleine auch bei Nicht-Benutzung leer. Ich muss immer darauf achten, dass das Gerät dauerhaft gedockt ist. Ich habe einzig wg. der Mailfunktion via WIFI gewechselt, das funktioniert allerdings gut, hat insg. aber nicht den Wechsel gerechtfertigt! Olympus: Ganz schwache Arbeit!!!! PS Stand 09.04.2020: Ich finde es schon witzig, dass dann doch ein paar 5* - meist ohne Bewertungstext - trotz der erheblichen Mängel zustande kommen. Ein Schelm, wer böses dabei denkt! Und nein: Ich bin nicht bei Phillips und ärgere mich bis heute mit dem Teil rum! @ Olympus: Anstatt hier rumzufaken wären ein paar Updates angebracht!

Als Inhaber der Anwaltskanzlei Dimpfl und Kollegen in Augsburg fertige ich täglich ca. 15 Diktate, somit ca. 3000 jährlich. Das Gerät ist komfortabel, ich habe insges. bereits 4 Stück davon gekauft. Die Software wurde in einen Workflow integriert. Ich bin mit dem Gerät zufrieden.
