The black variety of Maca is supposedly of particular benefit for men's health and sexual vitality (to coin a phrase) so I guess there's a large potential market for these ALPHA-01 Organic Black Maca capsules. Maca is an interesting supplement, it seems to trade as much on its own mythology as the actual effects, and it's worth remembering it's basically a Peruvian turnip. I've taken it on and off for a couple of years and I think there is a bit of a boost to energy, especially if you take it first thing in the morning. Taken as a loose powder (sprinkled onto your breakfast cereal for example) it seems to be particularly effective.Capsules are a good way to try it if you don't like the nutty flavour of the powder but you may not get all the benefits of the powder, which gives you a natural energy boost from the carb's it contains. These capsules are moderately large and but you only need to take one per day. I don't get any noticeable digestive upset from them and have suffered no ill effects. If you think Maca might work for you then these are a good value way to try, especially if you're male.

On the advert it says it's GMP but it doesn't say so on the packet. I also opened a capsule to try it. I have had black maca before and it should be sweet. This tastes gritty, old and flavourless. The colour is much lighter than what black maca should be. I will be reporting this to trading standards.
