I cannot forgive you for this.lol okay, now that I have had a minute to compose myself I can positively tell you that this book was life and I do not regret choosing this to be my first read of 2024. My first read and the first 5 star review of the season. Emotions aside, what a roller coaster this book had me riding. I had all the feels, I felt so connected to the characters due to the amazing bond Miranda creates between reader and the story. The plot tracked well. The story line wasn’t too transparent, I had hunches and 98% of them were wrong. Twists and turns at every corner keeping me guessing. I have to say that this shocked me with how great it was.I usually do not write reviews with so many feelings attached to them. I like to keep them spoiler free and stick to facts. But honestly, I am sitting here raging lol. I could not believe that ending and my heart has not recovered. If you want to read a book that gives you all the feels like that one time you read Acotar and nothing has compared since. This book is for you. How will I ever recover from this, I am not sure but book two is loading on my kindle as we speak.This was my first proper witchy story and girls, I was practically a witch virgin prior to this story. But here I am ready for you to initiate me into the coven because I want to be a Moon witch. Give me a mark and send me on my way.Absolutely fantastic. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟x100291929274646. going into this book, i realized i don't really read witchy books? i mean i like them but i don't go looking for them. BUT if i could recommend ONE witchy book for the rest of time, it would be this one. miranda lyn is a master of storytelling and it came as no surprise that this book swept me off my feet.·raven moonstone is a fantastic fmc that i immediately took a liking to and when the leader of her coven dies, she finds herself in the running to be the new one. but there are hidden forces at work that she somehow starts to unravel.·this new world miranda has built is so captivating i want to explore more than what we have on paper. complete with a hot winged male, a brand new magic system, hidden conspiracies, intense trials, and did i mention a hot winged male? yeah. it's amazing. i felt a lot of things reading this book and, yes, tears were shed but i promise it's worth it 😂·anywho add this book to the top of your tbr bc you need to dive in right away!!

I can say without a doubt this is one of my favorite witchy reads.Fast-paced, filled with tension, betrayal, loss, and friendship I was captivated as soon as I started.As a witch whose markings do not show on her skin, Raven is a witch easily underestimated and I knew right away she was going to prove us wrong. With amazing banter, and a villain that has a way with those one-liners I fell in love.Lyn does an exceptional job building her world, pulling you in, and then hitting you with surprises turn after turn. This story broke me in the best of ways.If you are looking for a deliciously dark, exciting, fast-paced, witchy read, I would highly recommend picking this up.

Bought this book author unknown to me and I will say I can not wait till the next 2 books in series arrives for me to read. Loved the book.

This book was a fun, captivating, beautiful read. It’s a perfect combination of enemies to lovers, slow burn and fantasy. I adored Raven and Kirsi’s friendship, it was a truly beautiful thing to behold. I was entranced by the dark king and Raven. I didnt want this book to end. Fair warning the ending is a huge cliff hanger that leaves you wanting more and book two isn’t out yet 😭.
