This purchase came from necessity. I was waking up each day with a headache, stiff neck, and pain that lasted throughout the day. I began the Amazon search for a pillow with a rating over 4, with 5 and 4 averages being over 90. (My criteria for a quality product.) This pillow fit the criteria. The pillow arrived early in the day. At other buyers’ suggestions, I removed the pillow from the bag, gave it a couple of good shakes, and let it expand. That evening I slept using the pillow, but did notice an odor. So another day passed. The second night, I placed one of my usual queen-sized pillowcases over the pillow. It fit perfectly, subdued the odor, and had the feel of a regular pillow. It’s been a month now with the new pillow, and I have not experienced any neck pain nor headaches. This pillow is such a great find, I bought a second for my queen size bed. After sharing my experience with my octogenarian mother who had been experiencing neck stiffness and pain, she said she’d like one. So it’s been several weeks, and my mom is loving her new pillow as well. My suggestion…get the pillow!

My aunt recommended trying a cervical pillow, and even though I was hesitant to switch, I gave this one a try since it had the Amazon’s Choice badge for comfort. It’s very comfortable once you get used to it. I let it air out for a couple of days and use it with a regular pillowcase. I like how my head rests in the center dip and my neck stays slightly stretched, similar to cervical traction devices I use after work. It also helps me stay in place overnight and keeps cool. I use the shorter side, which feels better for me, but it also has a higher side—just make sure to check the measurements before ordering. Hoping this becomes my long-term pillow.

After using this for a week I can confidently say that this is a good pillow for me but may not be ideal for everyone. The pillow arrived vacuum sealed and required several hours before it's shape had fully expanded and ready for use. There was an odor as well that does dissipate after awhile but that's something I'm accustomed to from other vacuum sealed merchandise. The first night I struggled a bit since I needed to align my head so it was getting sufficient support without creating stress on my neck. I'm a side sleeper and after a few days I determined that if I didn't rest my head slightly shifted towards the side and away from the middle then I couldn't fall asleep. I really appreciate that in the brief amount of time I've owned it, I haven't seen any sagging or alterations to the shape.

I bought this pillow after spending hundreds of dollars on several different kinds of pillows. I have bulging discs in my neck and can get terrible headaches if my neck is misaligned when I sleep. When I received this pillow, I didn't have high expectations because it is such a soft memory foam. I almost returned it without trying it because it was so soft. I'm glad I didn't. Though this pillow is soft, it cradles my head nicely and doesn't really put strain on my shoulders. I can get my head in a good position when sleeping because it has different heights and that nice indentation in the middle. I am pleasantly surprised by this pillow and now can get rid of dozens of other memory foam pillows that didn't work. If you're on the fence about trying this pillow, I suggest taking a chance and trying it. I won't go back to any other pillow style after this one.
