Q: What is the diameter of circular levels? I have a somewhat large cat :)

The diameter is about 14.5 in. My 2 cats weighing about 12 lbs each fit just fine. They even play. So plenty of room

Q: How much assembly is required

It is assembled except for top tier. That comes with 3 screws but no predrilled holes in the post. Very hard to line up and need a power screwdriver. When done the top tier was wobbly with my 2 10 lb cats. So we added a 2x4 brace to make it stable. That said, it was worth the trouble. I'm glad I didn't get a taller fancier one. My cats love it and it is safe. They were a little cautious at first but soon adapted. It stands alone which is a plus not having to put it against a wall.

Q: Are perches spaced well for senior cat?

Yes,they seemed purr-fectly spaced! We have 2 senior cats - one is a 14y/o Maine Coon-cross (quite arthritic) and he really likes it and has no problem climbing /o the higher perches or scratching on it.

Q: On the deluxe 52" tree, did yours come with pre-drilled holes in the post? Or any instructions? I've had a hard time attaching the top bed to the post

No, it was a problem! Ended up making a 2x4 brace for under top tier
