A must have for making sure cleans are 100% sanitisednfor both bacteria and blood borne diseases.

This is a good looking, easy to use starter Autoclave. Inside the box you get the Autoclave, with removeable tray, power cord, 2 loop handles for removing the tray and an instruction sheet. You do need to remove the blue safety film before use which was a little fiddly, but once off its ready to use. There are 2 handles on the side that stay cold, even when the Autoclave is set high so you can move it around safely. To use, put the items inside that you need to sterilise, set the heat and the timer as required (heat from 50-220 C and time up to 60 minutes) then close the lid and leave to sterilise for the chosen time at which point the bell will sound and sterilisation will be completed. This is a Dry Heat steriliser, so no water is to be used inside. dry heat works by conduction, as in the heat is absorbed into the metal, through its layers and sterilises that way. Once sterilised, make sure not to touch the items as they will be very hot so allow to cool down before use. This would be a good starter Autoclave at a very good price (larger Autoclaves run into thousands), good for a smaller salon, or a worker from home etc. My only issues that I have here are that there is no actual On/Off switch. The timer is the on/off switch which I think is fine, but personally I would prefer to control the power with a switch. The other thing is that I have no way of proving that the items are sterilised, other than to follow the guidelines of time and heat. The booklet says "all goods can be totally sterilised and disinfected in 15 minutes at 125 Celsius" whereas the popular online Encyclopedia site states "The proper time and temperature for dry heat sterilization is 160 °C (320 °F) for 2 hours or 170 °C (340 °F) for 1 hour, and in the case of High Velocity Hot Air sterilisers, 190°C (375°F) for 6 to 12 minutes." One other note. Don't put plastic handled items in an Autoclave as they will melt. Overall though, its a good starter Autoclave for smaller salons etc, at a good price that heats up to the desired temperature and time to dry sterilise.

Unfortunately stopped working after second use, and the light bulbs have already blown. Avoid.
