A Complete Package.
After owning several lights from Sofirn and knowing the build quality plus top notch user interface, this was an easy gamble to take on purchasing this light. I also own many lights in this form and size, so it intrigued me so I had to to pick this light up to compare and see how it stacks up to the competition. I want to address the size first. This by no means can be considered a compact light, nor should it. this light is a mid-size light that packs a punch of a much larger light, while being able to comfortably fit in a hoodie pocket, day pack, or even light enough to carry with your wrist hanging by a lanyard. Lights with similar outputs are 3 times the size of this light and weigh so much they cannot be easily transported or stored, that is why this light is so valuable. It fits in the hand like a glove and it is very light for all the power it emits. Now to address the User Interface and the output. Some lights have very confusing and not straight forward directions on how to use it, no this light, It is about as simple as they come. Hold for ultra low, double click for turbo, hidden strobe. Can't get much easier than that. This opens up the light for a wide variety of people, both young and old. The output is amazing, and with this light coming with a super efficient driver, the power is more sustainable and helps the battery have a longer life for less time waiting on a battery to charge. the beam itself is very uniform and wide, while also providing great distance for you to see up close or 2 football fields away. Another amazing and very important feature to this light is it has onboard charging so the user doesn't get bogged dowm with having to carry a charger everywhere they go and being able to charge where ever there is a usb-c around. the feature that brings this light into its own realm and above the rest is the power-bank feature, are you in a pinch and need a quick charge for you phone or other devices... problem solved. This light comes with a pocket clip, lanyard, 21700 lithium battery, and a complete instruction guide. Sofirn also had a very good customer service so you can shop with confidence. This light is worth every penny.

Very bright flashlight and throws a nice beam
For the size of this light, it throws a very impressive and bright beam. I love a good flashlight and have grown my collection to roughly 15 lights now. This SR15 is only slightly bigger than your typical 18650 lights that would classify as an EDC (everyday carry) but it's output dwarfs that of all my EDCs which typically max out at 2000 lumens. Check out my size comparison photo showing 4 Sofirn lights. The SR20 mini uses a 18350 battery. The SC31T uses an 18650. The SR15 in this review uses a 21700 battery and the big SP60 uses two 21700 cells. To show the 4 different brightness modes, please see my attached video showing both the brightness and throw of the light. Overall, I like this light a lot and I'll be leaving it in my vehicle to use for emergencies. The strobe functions are very bright and if I'm ever stranded on the side of the road at night, this light can be used as a beacon to warn other drivers due to the light spread of the 4 LED drivers. What do I like about this light? -Relatively compact size for the amount of light it outputs (max 4500 lumens) -Buck drivers mean it steps the voltage down to a constant 3V which translates to more uniform light output as the battery drains as opposed to lights with non-buck drivers where you can see the light getting dimmer as battery level goes down from ~4.2V to 3.0V -Very good light spread when using light up close -Sofirn now includes a USB-C to USB-C charging cable, no more of the USB-A to USB-C cables of past lights. My house have switched over to mainly USB-C chargers so this is a welcomed change and gives us another cable for backup -The UI is easy to use and if you've used other Sofirn lights in the past, the functions are all the same. Hold from off to get to moonlight. Single click for on/off. Hold when on to change brightness modes. Double click while on to get to turbo. Triple click to enter strobe modes and once there you can double click to switch between different strobe modes. -The magnetic tailcap is very nice to have especially if you're working around cars. Often I stick my Sofirn lights with magnetic tailcaps on my hood when working on my car. -The light doubles as a powerbank to charge your USB-C devices if you're in a pinch. Have tested and it charges my iPhone 15.

My new favorite flashlight!
The Sofirn SR15 is a very impressive light! The build quality is very good, with a full aluminum body that has a nice weight, feels good in the hand, and looks great. The overall look of the flashlight is very nice, and it's a very comfortable size for a flashlight that uses a 21700 battery. It feels like it will last for a very long time. The integrated USB-C charging is very convenient as well, and there is no need for a separate battery charger. The integrated charging makes it much more practical to take places where I may not have access to a standard battery charger. As far as the functionality of the flashlight, its ability to cast a beam with both throw and flood is very impressive. During my outdoor night testing, I was able to project a beam all the way down my street, easily illuminating a line of trees and buildings at 250m. I have no doubt that it can throw farther than this, as well. In addition to its very impressive throw, the SR15 outputs a surprising amount of flood that lights up everything in front of the light for about 50 feet. This is due to its emitter configuration, which is something I've not seen before. With the pattern of four emitters configured in a square shape, the beam throws a very cool-looking pattern that looks almost like a flower. It's very interesting, and none of the other flashlights I have produce such an interesting beam. This is easily my favorite part of the light - the beam is both cool-looking, and very functional with both impressive throw and flood. The UI of this flashlight is very simple as well - it offers both stepped and stepless ramping modes, both of which are very easy to access and use unlike some similar flashlights. I prefer the ramping mode, as it's smooth and allows me to dial in the exact brightness that I prefer. My only notes for the light - I wish it were offered in different color temperatures. I generally prefer warmer lights around 3000k, and the 6000k color temperature was a bit cool for my preference. This is a very minor complaint, though. The SR15 also has a tendency to get very warm very quickly on the highest brightness setting, which is to be expected from a flashlight with a 21700 battery. I never encountered the flashlight shutting down due to overheating, but it does get a bit uncomfortable to hold after extended use. It doesn't impact regular use much, but it's something other keep in mind. Overall, I am extremely impressed with the Sofirn SR15. This light is small, well-built, and casts an extremely bright and long-distance beam, and is overall just a really good value. I have quite a few nice flashlights, and I was shocked to find that this one became my favorite for everyday use due to all of these factors. I highly recommend the SR15!

My experience with the SR15
I have had this flashlight for a little over a week and it does a great job of illuminating a large area. You can use it on medium level or step 2 without it getting hot for multiple hours. If you use high or turbo the handle does get pretty warm. I liked using both step and ramp mode and it’s great that it has onboard usb-c charging I also loved the flashlight design and it has a good feel to it when you grip the light. The beam looks like a 4 leaf clover; I think I would like the beam better if the 4 LED were blended more- but as it is, it is still a very good light. It comes with a 21700 battery so you get very long runtime when you use it and a magnetic tail. I have many sofirn flashlights and they have all held up very well. In the rare occasions where I did have an issue, sofirn took care of my issue—so you can buy with confidence!

Excellent quality as usual from Sofirn, large and bright flashlight that’s easy to use
I purchased the Sofirn SR15 last month as I have been wanting to acquire more 21700 flashlights compared to my 18650 light collection. This flashlight features a quad LED setup with and a reflector design optimized to throw light up to 510 meters. As with the other Sofirn lights, this comes with a USB-C charging cable, lanyard, and instruction manual. Build quality on this flashlight is typical Sofirn, which is excellent. The design is utilitarian, which might not suit everyone's taste, but I think it looks great. This is a large flashlight as most 21700 lights are, and probably won't be the first choice for EDC. However, it does feature a sturdy clip, which works well when carrying it on your belt. The SR15 has an easy to use interface, and brightness can be set with either stepless ramping or stepped options. Double pressing the power button allows you to quickly access turbo mode. The flashlight has memory, and will turn back on to the last brightness setting used. This is a bright flashlight! At 4500 lumens in turbo mode, the SR15 will be useful to keep around the house or car for emergencies or to use for outdoor adventures. This flashlight will run for a long time in moonlight mode. The SR15 charges quickly with the supplied USB-C cable, and it can also be used as a powerbank. Flashlights that double as powerbanks make them even more useful during emergency situations. Pros: 4500 lumens Easy to use 21700 battery, excellent battery life Cons: Large!

Powerful flashlight
I collect Sofirn and some Wurkkos flashlights. I have been collecting since 2019. I'm a member of a few Sofirn and Wurkkos flashlight groups. Some people tried out the Sofirn SR15 when it first came out and they had a few issues that bothered them. The SR15 does have a different beam then most lights. If the SR15 is used inside a house you can see a pattern on the wall that is somewhat like a 4 leaf clover. My wife likes it😀. This pattern doesn't bother me at all, outside i dont notice the pattern. Some people stated that the light steps down from its turbo mode to quick ( the lights are supposed to step down after a period of time)I was told this has been fixed. My SR15 held on its turbo setting a long time. The SR15 is powered by a 21700 lithium battery, its very bright, it will get quite warm when its in its turbo or high mode, all lights with a 21700 battery will do this. This will be a light that you will be proud of. Once you buy a Sofirn flashlight you will want more.I own a lot of Sofirn lights. This one is going on my bookshelf by my front door, right next to my Sofirn SK4O, and SC33. I often sit out in front yard as my little dogs enjoy the evening. I always have a light on me (owls and racoons at night. My Sofirn flashlights all have a strobe feature that has been successful at scaring off owls. The button on the SR15 is a feature that i love. Its large and easy to find in the dark. Most flashlights have a much smaller button that is hard to locate when its dark out. I personally only have one small complaint about this light. The magnet on the tail is to weak for the size of the light. If you're looking for a powerful light at a great price, I recommend the Sofirn SR15. Please check out the other lights that Sofirn offers on Amazon. Sofirn has been offering some great discounts lately

On/Off button stopped working after 1 day
Used 3 times and On/Off button stopped working. Was not dropped or misused, bad switch design, not very durable. Took a chance on the Sofirn brand on a recommendation, but going back to my Nicron that still is working after 2 years of abuse.
