Should i get the 16 ounce or the 18 ounce for electrician school?

A 16 oz should be sufficient for school. I have 21 years in the trade and have found that most of the things you will need them for a 16 will be plenty! Good luck work hard!

Can you buy a replacement rubber grip only?

Look at a product called re-grip

Well it's a fiberglass shaft and heavy rubber grip. So there is some protection and the long nose is really helpful with tight spaces. Wouldn't want to be grounding any circuits with all that metal though, if you're unaware electrical shorts equal instant molten, explosive metal, that's why we always wear are ppe's (rubbers and shades)

How long is it end to end and does it fit well in the standard electricians white leather tool bag?

It does fit, but why would you? Always keep your hammer out and ready for banging.
