Las Vegas: Season Two

My husband and I first saw the Las Vegas television series in syndication and were hooked immediately. We own the first season and plan to get all 6. (We now know that the seasons come in a complete set, but we started out singly, so oh well.) James Caan stars as Big Jim DeLine. "Big" Jim? James Caan?! Yes. He's got big shoulders, he's the big casino boss and his character's mighty big and tough. This series has it all--handsome elegant men, beautiful stylishly sexy ladies, high rollers, famous entertainers, equally famous guest stars, and lots of action. Just what you'd want to see from a show about life at a big Vegas casino. You get the sense that the cast had nothing but fun on the set and if you listen to the commentary, yes they did. Many famous actors actually requested guest spots on the show to get in on it. The list includes Dean Caine, Alec Baldwin, Dennis Hopper and for the '50's generation, June Lockhart. Musical guests who also asked to be booked on the show are Brooks and Dunn, Clint Black, The Black Eyed Peas and of course, Wayne Newton, to name just a few. I must admit, nothing is more satisfying than watching Josh Duahmel, James La Sure and Jim Caan chase down casino scammers and thieves, and outwit crooks planning big capers. Another unique feature of the show is its movie-style camera work that gives the show the feel of the rush of excitement you would get from the glamour and high-stakes gamblers you'd expect to find in a major casino. If you get one season you will want the rest of them.

Actors: Very good (believable characters)Writing: Good, entertaining, somehow cliche-ed (I can predict 80% of the dialog)I could go on and on; but let me just say that the series is GOOD! I enjoy every (almost) moment of it. I am at the beginning of the season 2, so my words apply only to what I have seen so far (but I am a believer!)Writing reviews is really not my thing (though I enjoy reading them, and find them quite useful), but I have decided to write a review on this series. The reason is: BAD produce. I ordered the whole series at once. Season One gave me problems with one of the disks; unplayable! Amazon was nice to send me a replacement... Now I am at the beginning of season 2, and again; unplayable disk (only one, so it is not my DVD player). That makes me wonder how will the remaining disks (all of them two-sided) behave! Should I bother and require another replacement, or should I just give up and shy away from the product made by the same company??? Two-sided disk say a lot about cost awareness, yet, the quality is below zero!!!Amazon is not producing the stuff, but perhaps they should have better quality control (if possible). Likewise, I wish there were two ratings for DVDs and such; software and hardware are TWO very different things!

Las Vegas has a great cast, everyone is likeable and fun. Great storylines! Laughs and action.

If you are a fan of this series as I am. You will love it either way. Because as you know there is no where else to get it or watch it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Is because they did not take the measures needed to secure the original intro song. And in turn replaced it with something so horrible bland mundane. That in itself forces you to fast forward through the intro every time. It is really a let down. Once again let down by the people in charge of the series. Referring to the way the series was ended by NBC. But overall if you are a fan I would recommend buying it just know up front that they cheesed out on the intro and it is typical of today's world.

Great show. Doesn't like to take itself too seriously (Even though season 2 concludes with multiple cliffhangers). Fans of the Vegas Strip (in particular, that '03 - '08 Vegas vibe) will find nostalgia in the many well-executed cut scenes and fly overs of the Vegas skyline. Surprisingly well written and acted at times. A dozen great cameos and guest stars. Alec Baldwin and Sylvester Stallone put on memorable performances in both of their reoccurring roles. The women of the show are delicious (Vanessa Marcil, Molly Sims & Nikki Cox basically all in their primes), and they share some great onscreen chemistry between one another. Funny, fast, it's everything Vegas should be in a show. Buy it

I just want to warn everyone. While the show itself is amazing...I LOVE IT, there are problems with the disks! I bought this set, as I do all my sets, on Amazon.com. I was just watching this DVD set and cannot get Episode 11 to work. So, I went online to see if there was anyone else that had a problem. To my shock, I found that I am not only not the only one who had a problem but that Universal is KNOWN to have problems like this. I bought Sliders (Seasons 1 & 2) from Amazon.com and I didn't get a chance to watch it for maybe a year. I couldn't get the first disk to work so I have never been able to watch it...that is ALSO a Universal product. I didn't do anything about it because I had had it so long and there were a couple of scratches on the disk (it came like that...I hadn't even unwrapped the set in that whole time) so I figured they weren't going to do anything for me anyway. Now I am just plain MAD. Anyway, I just wanted to forewarn you...if you buy it, watch it immediately to make sure the disks work!

we like it very much we ordered the whole collection but sad to say our first copy has bad spots, i have no way to return it i have made comment prior to this. so i will not be buying movies on amazon in the future. even though i have not often had inferior cds as a rule. but when you can not return it your stuck. so sad

以前シーズン１を購入してカップルができたと思っていてもいろいろその奥に問題がありシンプルに「めでたしめでたし」ではないのだなと感じました。

シーズン1で主人公がどうなったのか気になって、シーズン2も買ってしまいました。ご覧になったことのない方には、『ラスベガス』というと、華やかなカジノの裏側に潜入して危険な犯罪を暴くサスペンスかと思われるかもしれませんが、私には軽快なコメディに見えます。セクシーで親しみのあるキャラクターの女優陣、愛されキャラの主人公ダニー（ジョシュ・ディアメル）、大御所ジェームズ・カーンが頼もしい上司として出演してます。豪華なゲストもたくさん登場し、大まかな流れがある中での一話完結なのでそれぞれ楽しめます。

大好きなラスベガスを舞台にした、面白いドラマです。ストーリーも最高です。

シーズン１が面白かったのでコンパクトＢＯＸでシーズン２が再発されて即ゲット。良かったです。シーズン３は相変わらず値段もゴージャスなアウターケース付きなので今は待ちの状態です。コンパクトＢＯＸでリリースされたらゲットします

Picked up all 5 seasons as this was a great good series that is no longer in syndication and not available on Netflix or iTunes. Video quality is okay (on the episodes that will play), but unfortunately, the DVD's are not high quality or high density. They are burned on two sides and at least two of the episodes on each disc side does not play properly (seasons 1-3). I have tried different codecs to make it work, with no luck. Disc menus are extremely low definition... these DVD's must have been sitting in a warehouse for the past 10-12 years - well before blu-ray.Pricing and delivery met the expected norms from an Amazon purchase. No complaints about the seller, only the product quality.
