Fantastic Large-Screen eReader with the Freedom of Android
I love the Boox 10.2 eReader. The large screen makes reading incredibly comfortable, and the ability to write directly on the display is a game changer for note-taking and productivity. Unlike Kindle, which is a closed system, this device runs on an open Android platform — that means I can install the apps I actually use, like Instapaper and even ChatGPT. It truly adapts to my workflow rather than restricting it. What really sets it apart, though, is how easy it is on the eyes. I can work for long stretches without the eye strain I normally experience with LED screens. Whether I’m reading articles, marking up documents, or interacting with AI tools, the Boox gives me the freedom, comfort, and functionality I need. Highly recommended for anyone who wants the flexibility of a tablet without sacrificing the comfort of an e-ink display

Great for researchers!!
Absolutely love this tablet. It's good quality, it's quick and very responsive and has a nice crisp quality to the writing and images. Battery life is phenomenal. I like that the settings are very adaptable and it's amazing that it runs android. I use it for both reading fiction and for reading research papers and it's great because I can access zotero where I store all of the articles I'm reading for work. Also being able to access google docs and outlook is fab.

Buyers remorse. Only the native notes app is actually functional.
Serious buyers remorse here after 3 months of use. The native notes app works well but I bought it to take notes in OneNote and read papers in zotero and both are too glitchy to be useful and they make no adaptations to the android app for use in a grayscale setting so sometimes I’m writing in color and don’t even know until I see it on my computer. Also the magnetic case causes the pen not to work right so customer support told me to use it without the case. Why would you sell a case with your product that causes it to malfunction? Wish I could return this.

Decent e-reader for anyone who wants Google Play and no front-light - too bad about Android 13 tho
If you want a reasonably sized e-ink tablet without a backlight that runs a full version of Android with the Google Play store, the Boox is a good choice. My biggest complaint is one typical of e-readers: anything having to do with screen refresh takes a while, to the point that you are possibly introducing other commands into the input queue thinking that you didn't touch something sufficiently the first time or inadvertently hitting the wrong thing unintentionally and finding out a second or two later. This can apply to page turns, but it also happens with scrolling, going back a page, browsing content in apps, etc. I'm 99% sure that if the e-ink interface were faster, none of this would be an issue. My only complaint with Boox in particular is that the tablet ships with Android 13 and Boox has said they will not upgrade it to a newer version at any point. That means that this $400 device only has a couple years (3 at the outside) of useful life from the date of purchase before it's no longer getting critical security updates. I knew that when I got it, but felt strongly that I have a valid use case and will get my money's worth and I think that's true. But it seems a shame that this device will just end up as another bit of useless Android e-waste in 1/3 the time it would take for an Apple device, like a tablet or a phone, on account of the manufacturer abandoning it.

Great for note taking
Beautiful device, note taking is wonderful. Manga looks great in speed mode. I actually like the lack of front light, it makes it feel more like an analog book. One downside is I actually wish it felt a little sturdier. I know people love the thin devices, but I’m fearful of breaking it.

Is this (eink) really better than an iPad / iPad Mini? The lag leads me to say no
This is NOT ideal as a reader through PressReader(applies to Libby too). I was looking forward to an eink reader, as an upgrade to my Kindle. I was also looking for an android based ereader since I wanted to use the PressReader app to look at magazines, and also one which did not have the frustrating lag the Kindle had. This reader solved the issue of allowing PressReader, which was nice. However, the interface is so slow and unresponsive at times. The website made it seem like it had an advanced processor so I assumed it would be able to handle an app for reading with ease ... but this was not the case. When you are moving back and forth within an app to read different articles, the frustration builds up when there is lag/unresponsiveness. Also, this 10.3 is too large to use as a reader... you can't hold it with one hand and it's a bit awkward with the size but that could be solved by going for a smaller model such as the 7'. Maybe people could use this to write notes?.... but i'm not sure why one would choose this device over an iPad which is much more responsive. Yes the eink is nicer to look at and write on... but i'm not sure the interface frustration and lag is ever worth it. I am getting an iPad Mini instead with a screen protector to prevent glare. The price different isn't that great, the battery life will be more of an issues... but i'm too used to the speed of an iPhone and can't tolerate lags.

One of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time
I’ve tried comparable tablets and none check all the boxes like this one Boox handwriting keyboard input is the only one that works for me. Maybe it’s my handwriting but Boox gets it! Even the feature itself is more intuitive than others or some don’t have it entirely The actual writing experience was the best for me, other than remarkable but remarkable doesn’t have android. This is a different feel but still gives you great satisfaction. Other than that size and weight is great, design is beautiful, no backlight and black and white only makes it simple and feel more analog which is what I wanted. My favorite device right now

Excelente produto. O problema, é pagar uma infinidade de imposto e não receber a nota fiscal.
