Good Bang for the Buck
Purchased this fan to replace a 10 year old fan in our bedroom that was humming so loud it kept me awake. I was fairly particular about what I wanted: quiet, remote control, LED lights, and a style that matched our décor. I had been looking solely at a Hunter as we have a number of these in the house and they tend not to disappoint. Stumbled upon this Honeywell because of it’s great look but then found it had all the features. I’m a DIY’er and have installed numerous fans but I have to say the instructions for this unit were spot on and easy to follow. You just have to follow them. Fan is awesome and we appreciate the dimmable LED lights. It may not be a quiet as a Hunter but definitely quieter than the previous unit (ever so slight hum on low). All in all, great value.

The fan has a great appearance and installed easy
The instructions were easy to follow and written well. All parts were required were in the box, including two LED bulbs. The fan that I replaced was terribly out of balance from day one. I was never able to get that resolved. The balance of this fan was perfect and required no adjustment. It only has two bulbs, but provides plenty of light for the master bedroom that it's installed in. The blades are shorter than I expected (as compared to the fan I removed), but honestly that's my fault for not reading the description more thoroughly. I did not use the wireless fan controller. The room already had a switch for the light and a switch for the fan. So, I just wired it up as you would for a fan that doesn't have a remote. Remotes get lost at my house, so it was far less headache just to leave that out. As a result, it runs on high speed all of the time, but that's really what I want anyway. It's very quiet and moves plenty of air. One item to note, this fan is manufactured by HKC (China). They make the majority of the ceiling fan brands out there (especially ones found in the box stores). The only thing "Honeywell" about this fan is the name on the box.

Takes Time to Install
First of all this is a beautiful fan that works well. There are a lot of pieces to put together but the instructions and pictures were a great help. The remote looks very nice and works well. There was only one screw that I could not get to line up and that was on the collar at the ceiling so was not too concerned about that. There were two issues that did bother me. One is that the description and PDF instruction booklet state that the fan could be close mounted to the ceiling but the fan I got said that it wasn’t. Luckily it was no taller than the fan I was replacing so it was not a deal breaker for me. The other is that the fan motor is not whisper quiet like my other fan. It is quiet but you can hear a slight hum and more so on high. Again not a deal breaker for me as it is not over bearing. The light dims nicely and is very bright on full illumination. Overall, this is a beautiful fan that works well. The amount of air it moves is very adequate for a 12X12 room but not sure it would be enough for a 20X20 room as advertised. All in all I would definitely buy again.

Quality
Nicest fan I have ever bought. Extremely quiet.

An excellent fan and light!!!
Our newly built home came pre-wired for a ceiling fan and light. We purchased three of these, one for each of our bedrooms. They were a little difficult to install, and took a little thinking about the wiring, but once installed they were great!! The included remote control works well and the light adds just the right amount in the room. The fan is very quiet, even on high speed. I think this fan is better than any of the Hunter fans! Extremely pleased and highly RECOMMEND this!!

Low air movement and no reverse function on the remote, vibration noise is AWFUL!
These fans are nice looking but that’s the extent of it. The pitch of the blades is almost zero (meaning they lay almost flat, the more angled they are the more air they move) so they don’t work as well as they could. Also, to reverse the air flow up or down you have to remove the glass and toggle the switch. This should be a remote function but you get what you pay for.The remotes for two of the five fans are temperamental and it isn’t a battery issue. They work when they feel like it. You have to coax them into turning on or off the light. I didn’t pay to have two toddlers in my house. They are also the ones we use the most. After having them installed for a few months I’ve noticed that all 5 units we have installed click as if something inside has shaken loose. If I tilt them or wiggle them a bit it sometimes helps for up to a couple of days but it is awful! Unfortunately it’s past the point of returning them so they are going in the trash.UPDATE: Two years later and we are going to replace all five. These are the absolute worst. The remotes for the two we used the most in the bedroom and TV room won’t work unless you stand under the fan and on the side where the remote control signal is which means I have to get out of bed and go to the foot of my husband’s side of the bed to turn the fan on. But that’s okay because it starts to rattle after a few minutes so it’s not worth using anyway. The TV room fan is quiet but only on low. Anything higher and it starts to rattle too. Again, you must get up and stand in front of the TV to get it to turn on or off. These were both installed correctly, we’ve checked that they may be misaligned but the guy who looked at them shook his head and said “pieces of crap”.The one in the guest room is rarely used, maybe 10 times in two years and it rattles too but at least you can turn it on and off from in bed but what’s the point when you can’t sleep? The ones in the kitchen and the living room work better but I think maybe it’s because they have a pole and aren’t flush against the ceiling.I am baffled that these are still selling and shame on the people giving a high star rating but saying how bad they really are. No one should have to go through the process of getting a good product the first time but I guess we almost got what we paid for.

Love it!
The media could not be loaded. I was looking for a smaller fan/light combo to replace one that was too large for my small living room and that barely moved air. After reading tons of reviews, I decided to get this fan. Turns out, the reviews were right! This fan is sleek, very quiet, and has a great breeze. The installation was straightforward and two bulbs were included. Highly recommend this fan!
