Cute, fun, and educational
Fun and educational toy for learning numbers, colors, and shapes. There are a total of 10 small colors with different colors and numbers. In total, there are 5 different shapes: hexagon, square, circle, triangle, heart. There is a pair of each shape. Unfortunately, they don't fit as nicely into their respective shapes as nicely as I hoped for. The large turtle has a rounded bottom that causes it to tilt and spin, especially if placed on a smooth, hard surface. This can be somewhat challenging for younger toddlers to insert the shapes correctly. I like that you can store away the smaller turtles into the shell of the larger turtle to keep everything tidy and organized. It feels durable, unlikely to break easily even if treated roughly. It is made of a thick plastic that is supposed to be lead free. It is unclear though if this toy is BPA free.

Fun and educational
My almost 2 year old loves this toy. She has learned how to say all the shape names, numbers, and colors. The turtles are so cute too!

Thoughtfully designed cute toy
This brand does a really great job of making toys that are both functional, and can be used for baby to learn a lot of different skills, and look nice. I like the turtle wobbles, giving baby a chance to learn stuff about balance as they play. The baby turtles all fit inside the exterior shell. The material it's made of is very easy to wipe down and keep clean. This is a great addition to our toy box!

excellent and exciting packaging for kids - repeatable and awsome learning tool
This is shown to be 18+ but in reality this is good for kids younger as long as there is no risk of them chewing on it. The pieces are pretty large so risk of swallowing is pretty much zero. The other thing is losing the pieces, since they are seperate from the actual turtle, it's pretty easy to misplace them for younger kids. For younger kids, even if they don't understand the counting nad numbers, there's tons of value of putting the right piece in the right hole based on the shape. That shape and size recognition alone is very productive for young minds. It's really our generations "square peg round hole" thing when we would take wooden blocks and hit through with a hammer. In addition this has numbers on the small pieces so kids can learn to put these in order from 1 onwards or counting backwards.Overall a good fun toy for kids from 18 months through 36 months I'd say.

Fun leaning toy - wish worked better for bath
My girl really likes this toy. It's a great learning experience to introduce counting and get more familiar with shapes. I like that a booklet was provided with fun facts about turtles - which I can read to her. Since this is a turtle, it made sense to include it for bath time. Unfortunately, the two holes at the bottom make it sink and the weight balance is off. I taped up the holes for it to somewhat float. I wish that this was taken into account when designing because it would have made the experience even better. When placed on the floor, the base is designed to wobble making it more difficult to put the small turtles in. The bright colors and the variety it offers still make this a fun toy.

Baby turtles teach counting, very cute
This Seymour The Counting Shapes Sea Turtle by Learning Resources is the first toy I have ever gotten from this company, but it won't be the last.Upon receiving this toy I was immediately impressed. The first thing I noticed are the colors, which are deeply saturated and would draw the interest of any child. There are 10 turtle pegs of different shapes that fit inside the different shaped holes in the turtle's shell. Each baby turtle has a number on its back as well, so the child can learn counting along with recognizing the five different shapes. It is all made of plastic, but 70% of it is from recycled materials. The plastic feels very durable, and has enough curves and texture to make it easy for gripping. The bottom of Seymour is rounded, so he wobbles, which helps to develop fine motor skills. When the child is done playing with the babies, the shell lifts up and all the pegs fit inside for storage. This is an excellent educational toy, as not only can a child learn shapes and numbers, but it also helps with hand-eye coordination, hand strength and fine motor skills. Currently this Seymour Turtle toy is selling for $15.99, and I think that is a very nice price for the quality of it.
