Does not work-Old Model
Product was not working. After getting charged over 12 hours it still was not functional. Though the instructions say that it should be blinking when on charger, this was not. Thankfully I was able to contact Phillips sonicare and chat with an agent, who went through the troubleshooting process and then suggested that the item is damaged and they wanted a copy of the receipt and will send a replacement for me. As mentioned in the headline, the model is older as the agent at Phillips sonicare said "DiamondClean with Polish mode is no longer available in our website" and suggested that they send me a newer version called "upgraded version of your unit which is the DiamondClean with the Deep Clean mode"This is my second sonicare toothbrush and i am not sure why i actually bought the second one. The first one, The battery died 2 years later and could not replace it because it had no warranty, This time I purchased a warranty and didn't even need it, because the product was non functional from the time i got it out of the box. a family member has an oral B brush and for 7 years they have been using it with no issues. After i get this replacement, and I am sure within a year or so the battery will die, I will no longer purchase Phillips. its a shame how a major brand name like has bad quality products. Back in the old days, my father used to by nothing but Phillips products. today, i don't think i can recommend phillips.

Way too rough - bad news.
After using this toothbrush for over a year I now wish I never purchased it. My mouth, teeth and gums have been sore, I've actually lost fillings - I've never had more issues with my mouth than now in my life. I was trying to figure what changed a year ago to cause all of this? And it dawned on me it's when I gave up my decade love affair with OralB and switched to this much more expensive brand. It literally feels like I'm brushing with a vibrating rock. The brush is so narrow, harsh and hard, it vibrates so fast and at the end of it the worst part - my teeth are still not cleaned. I even bought the brush specifically for gums. Not better. I feel that many of my new dental problems come back to this toothbrush. I wasted a lot of money an from the looks of it harmed my mouth.

As awesome as the color!
My family has been using Sonicare since it came out. Before I had a Sonicare, I was told by dentists all the time that my gums needed work even though I brush and floss regularly. I am not fond of dentists--I'd rather go get an annual pap smear than go to a dentist if that makes it more clear how I hate dentists. When I started to use the Sonicare, I was not told I needed help with my gums anymore. They would look at my chart and see the notes about bad gums, take a second look, and have nothing to say. One assistant that cleaned my teeth stated how they were going to recommend I do the "thorough" cleaning that is for those with gingivitis but because my gums did not show signs of bad gums, they could not recommend that anymore. They asked what I did and I said, "started to brush with a Sonicare."I cannot recommend this toothbrush more and this newer model has a deep clean choice that I really love to use. The color is fabulous and is made from a material that feels velvety. It is so gunk does not stick to it after brushings from the toothpaste. Highly recommend!!!

Really, no change from my $5.00 spin brush...
I really haven't noticed a difference in my teeth or gums with the Soniccare over my grocery store Crest Spin Brush, but I feel a whole lot more important whipping out this giant purple thing to stick in my mouth!

charger madness
I really like Sonicare toothbrushes and have been using them since they came out in the 1990s. I find them gentle but thorough on my teeth and gums. My only complaint is that with the new charger we are now forced to have two chargers in the bathroom, taking up needed counter space. I suppose when my partner's Sonicare toothbrush needs to be replaced it too will use a glass charger but I hate being coerced to buy the more expensive diamond series with its proprietary charger. These sorts of things just rub me the wrong way. Other than that it's a great toothbrush.

Clean teeth
Works great. Although I wish you could select the mode you want prior to turning it on.

Gentle enough for sensitive mouth and teeth
I have sensitive mouth and this product cleans teeth great on all settings without bothering my lips and other areas. I love sonicare and think they are the best you can get for good oral hygiene.
