Samsung EK-GC200 Galaxy Camera 2

One of the best digital cameras I ever had. I previously had the first generation of the Samsung galaxy camera and then I upgraded to this one and I am really proud of my purchase. It is so user friendly and handy, even small kids can use it very easily. It acts as both phone and camera at the same time. The image quality is really impressive event in the auto mode. The build quality and the overall finish is excellent and the upper steel part is simply mindblowing. I also bought a 32 gb micro SD card with it. Samsung have really concentrated on each bits to make this camera user friendly. The HDMI port is inside the battery section and it can be accessed without opening the battery lid. The 21x zoom is really astonishing, I normally use it to view the longest sceneries. Overall a mindblowing camera with a very much attractive price tag.

Had the previous model so needed an extra one

when i purchased this product i though OH MY GOD £100 off and then the price kept changing between £296-£299... and then i found out why..... This product comes with a EUROPEAN two pin usb wall charger not the UK three pin, you can charge the product with the usb cable on it's own, but after a slightly nervous test you can plug that cable into a 3 pin usb wall charger and it will charge just fine. So long story short get this product i've had the previous galaxy camera and this one is more of a tweak then a major goalpost mover and save £100 and get it with a two prong not 3 prong........ FINALLY THE EU DOES SOMETHING GOOD FOR BRITAIN.

Quality is really bad and not sure if my item is faulty or whether all models are like this. I want to return it but only had 4 weeks and didnt discover how bad it was until I went on holiday ... really disappointed.

This really is a great camera for way too many reasons than there is space here. Read about it, it does exactly what it say's. Unfortunately, Samsung have let people down. They have made some slight adjustments compared with the original Galaxy Camera. The batteries are a slightly different size and the camera is also slightly larger than the original. You would therefore think that Samsung would be on the ball and have these, pretty important accessories, NO. I had to call Samsung and inform them that the batteries where on their other countries web sites, but not in the UK and there are no other companies in the UK selling the specific battery for the Galaxy 2. Samsung did find the part number but said they would have to specially order me the two extra batteries I was requesting from outside the UK at a cost of £34.00 incl delivery and up to a six week wait. Then the next problem was trying to find a case to fit this camera. Yes, Samsung do make a case for it, but again, not sold in the UK. Why, they sell the camera? The other problem with the Samsung case is the lack of a belt loop so you have to walk about with the case attached to a shoulder strap. Please do not get any cases that for the Galaxy camera as they are too small for the Galaxy 2 camera. It appears that in my hunt for another case, there is nothing I could find to fit the dimensions and keep the case small and manageable on my belt. I finally found a case, still not a perfect size, but pretty close. It's the National Geographic Nano camera pouch, oh and it's way cheaper than the Samsung case and has a belt loop as well as shoulder strap and other forms of attachment. Great camera Samsung, but cases and spare batteries are pretty important accessories.

Very easy to use, Android operating system is similar to my phone so new learning curve. Only taken a few shots in sunlight so far but appears to take very good photos. Feels very durable with positive action buttons, touch screen is big, responsive and high resolution. Have to put it away as its supposed to be a christmas present (to me!)

Great Samsung camera, but be warned the file system used to store photos won't upload to iPhoto. You have to use the Samsung Kies system and then manipulate them!

Le 5 Stelle non sono dovute alle sole caratteristiche fotografiche della fotocamera, ma alla versatilità propria di un apparecchio di questo tipo su cui è installato il sistema operativo Android 4.3.1. Come macchina fotografica la qualità per un dilettante come me è più che soddisfacente, anche se mi riserverò di estendere questa recensione nel momento in cui la utilizzerò un po' più seriamente per fotografare qualche concerto dal vivo, ambiente piuttosto ostico per la commistione tra buio e luci forti che emettono in direzione della fotocamera. Per ora ho avuto modo di apprezzare in modo particolare la buona qualità dello Zoom 21x, che permette di fotografare oggetti anche molto distanti senza aumentare la granulosità dell'immagine. In automatico la fotocamera svolge egregiamente il proprio lavoro adattandosi molto bene alle caratteristiche di luce dell'ambiente circostante, ma un esperto ha davvero modo di sfruttarla al massimo passando alla modalità manuale e regolando tutti i parametri necessari per ottenere il miglior risultato consentito da questo tipo di hardware. Il fatto di essere a tutti gli effetti un terminale Android la rende versatile sotto molti punti di vista. E' possibile utilizzarla, per esempio, come navigatore, come riproduttore di contenuti multimediali, per navigare in internet, o per condividere al volo le foto senza essere costretti a passarle prima sul PC. La durata della batteria da 2.000mAh mi sembra discreta, ma per evitare brutte sorprese mi munirò quanto prima di una seconda batteria con relativo caricatore, magari di concorrenza, in modo da avere sempre a disposizione una fonte di energia supplementare che nei momenti di uso intensivo della fotocamera si rivelerà molto utile.

Premetto che sono un adoratore della reflex, ma purtroppo non sempre posso portarmela dietro quindi volevo una macchina sempre in tasca...questa è un buon compromesso per fare delle buone foto in qualsiasi situazione! Unica pecca....rimane un pò granosa la foto in situazione di luce scarsa...ma per il resto è perfetta. Molto buone le applicazioni per la post produzione caricate direttamente sulla macchina...belle e veloci! La consiglio per chi vuole avere buone foto senza spendere troppo!

La fotocamera è esattamente come l'aspettavo. Gli effetti alle foto nativi non sono gran che anche se poi si possono scaricare le app android anche se sono più pensate per telefono. Soffre alti ISO, ma ha tanti pregi, è facile da usare, schermo molto buono, menu intuitivo, molto social se si USA una SIM

Regalo doppio… Bella macchina, potente e con un display veramente molto grande. buono il sensore, buono lo zoom anche se l'ottica non compete con le macchine di livello medio alto delle compatte e bridge dei marchi più conosciuti. rimane un prodotto di ottima fattura e di buona qualità generale, leggermente migliorata rispetto alla versione precedente,ma purtroppo perde la peculiarità principale, cioè la tecnologia 3g… non monta più una sim… peccato peccato peccato...

macchina ben funzionante. ottimo lo zoom, la qualità delle foto è molto buona per chi, come me, non è un appassionato di fotografia ma utilizza la fotocamera per documentare le vacanze e gli eventi a cui partecipa. un po' "delicato" il meccanismo del Flash... I video in HD vengono bene. Nel complesso sono soddisfatto.
