Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Planar Adventures

Great addition to the Pathfinder family!
TL/DR: a good book that really covers all aspects of the Planes. But like most books it has some reprinted material. As always paizo introduces yet another spectacular books to the product line. The Planer Adventures book offers a wealth of information from new archetypes for the swashbuckler,Bard, Rogue,Alchemist, fighter cleric, whitch,Ranger, investigator, Druid, spiritualist and wizard. Well there's only one new archetype for each of these classes I personally think that the gloomblade is the most interesting. It provides the fighter with the ability to make a tangible weapon from Shadow stuff. There are few new Feats including combat styles metamagic General and something called conduit feats; a new type that grant interesting abilities. I personally like flickering stuff which gives you the ability to use dimensional door. The new spells are simply just flavor for the whole planer concept. Granting bonuses to being on a plane or dealing with creatures on or from a plane. Now the magic items section shines a little brighter! Offering a few new magic weapon and armor enhancements in addition to specific items. We continue on to discuss how planes are different noting the gravity, how time flows, is the plane morphic or stable is a dominated by an element etc etc. They also include the wild magic effects which is kind of fun inclusion. Basically when you cast a spell you might have to roll a Caster level check for it to function if you fail something bad could happen! There's a good section talking about what happens in the river of Souls which is essentially the afterlife when something dies. They also included the role of the Divine and giving great detail but also a bit of reprinting from older core Pathfinder books about the different gods and their lore. Each of the planes gets their own description and about 6 pages of fluff. Going into greater detail the denizens, locations, and exploration of that plane.Lastly we tackled bestiary which hosts an impressive 21 new creatures. There are three additionall new races to play, each with their own origin lore and some very new unique abilities.Overall I would highly recommend this book to any Pathfinder fan. Some of the material may not be useful for all campaigns and thus all GM's would not find this book very useful. I personally will probably never use any of this book in my campaigns but I still really enjoy reading the source material and having that in my back pocket just in case the players decide to do something ridiculous.

Pure Money Grab
We all expect to spend money on items that are valuable to us, and I had no problem shelling out for this piece, as it looked as if it could be awesome. However, when I received it and read through it, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Not only is a huge swath of information contained here rehashed, but the new additions are generally underwhelming. As icing on the cake of disappointment, the usual Paizo sexism is present, with nearly every pronoun referring to players defaulting to the female for some reason. Are all of Paizo's players now female? Do they want only female players? As well, the vast majority of gendered art portrays female characters. Discriminating against men is just as bad as discriminating against women, Paizo. Shame.

Cool book for any GM!
This book is everything about the various Planes that exist inside of the Pathfinder universe, and to me, nothing could be more refreshing! I enjoy the lore and the story behind the different creatures that live. This is mainly a GM book, however. However, if you're a player that likes to read up some knowledge or if you're a GM that wants to throw his players into a different Plane and have a good understanding of what it will do to his players this is the book for you!

Best way to start your planar adventures
Great book: there's a lot of useful information about Pathfinder cosmology and how to apply it in your campaign. Definitely worth its cost.

A Fine Primer for the Great Wheel.
An excellent explanation with plenty of flavour and crunch for those who want to play in the inner and outer planes of the great cosmology of Golarion. It also give more information on deific influences and relationships.
