Great alternative to original
I have used this Cord without any difficulties. It works great right out of the package if you have the proper wall charger. I had purchased a multiple usb power adapter with capabilities of up to 100w. Works great with my surface pro.

They claimed PD100W but it's 30w
It's not 100w power delivery. I have a usb-c charger that is 100w (confirmed with my other laptop). I plugged in this surface connect cable, with nothing else plugged into it. I then put it on the laptop, and I got the "slow charging" notification, and it shows around 28-29 watts.

Slow charging warning
Per the questions this is supposed to work like the original charger, I even bought the updated wall usb charger - I still get the warning - charging slow - use original charger.

A slow 45w charge but they actually work.
These work as advertised. Both of my usb ports are broken on my surface and if not fot this cord (4th try at one that would constantly work) I would have been in trouble. One of the few that put out a significant amount of power that is in the original form factor.

lasted 39 days Edit from 1 star to 5 star
Worked fine for 39 days till it did not. Light now stays on even when not pluged into SP-7. Will not charge at all. Have another cord and it works fine. Just past the 30 days so I cant return it.EDIT: COMPANY WENT FAR AND ABOVE FOR SERVICE ON THIS ITEM. THEY DID NOT ASK ME TO CHANGE THIS REVIED. NOW 100% HAPPY
