Mattel Disney Planes Fire and Rescue Cabbie

Solid Plane. Feel most parts and pieces are built to last. Owned for about 1 month and one of the fins on the propeller has snapped off. Wings are not hard plastic, but have some give to them. It would take a lot to break them though. Easy to assemble. Comes packaged in about 5 pieces that just need to be snapped in place. Wheels turn, but do not retract. The hull is hollow all the way to the nose of the plane for lots of transporting capacity and is door is sturdy. A generous measurement of the opening in the back is about 2in wide by 1.5in tall. Little green army men or matchbox cars easily go inside along with the other Planes Fire & Rescue vehicles. From wingtip to wingtip, the plane is 18in wide and from front to back, the plane is about 16.5in. Height of plane's tail fins is just over 6in; rest of plane is about 3.5in.Overall a really great plane, but I'm a little disappointed to find the propeller fin busted, but that's probably more my 2yr old's fault than the toy.I'd buy this toy again without hesitation and my boys love it.

Kids enjoyed it for years

My kids love this!! It's pretty big and holds the smaller "Mud Droppers" from the movie.I do have an issue, and not sure how to contact the seller. The wheels were included, 2 of the 3 snap in just fine. The rear wheels snap in, however, 1 of the 2 wheels doesn't fit well. It's obvious that the first wheel that fits, has grooves where it snaps in only one way. The 2nd rear wheel has a different notch, but the two wheels that were sent are the same. It's like the right and left have different notches, but the wheels sent are both Left wheels and should have been one left and one right.Can you send me just a set of wheels, or should I return the item and reorder?

This plane comes in a plain brown box with very minor assembly required. I have absolutely zero mechanical/assembly skills and yet had no trouble whatsoever putting together the few pieces. Once assembled, it is meant to stay assembled firmly. I tried to get it apart before Christmas to put it back in the box and it wouldn't budge. My 5 year old grandson plays rough and this plane is holding up just fine. He loves it!! I got all the little machines to go with it and it still came to less $$, with shipping and everything, than the exact set up in in the store with a fancy colored box. Kids don't care about the box----save yourself some money. I also ordered Dusty, which has no assembly.

I got two of these for my 3 and 6 year old sons for Christmas. They both LOVE these. I think its a pretty cool toy because the Smoke Jumpers (not included with the toy) actually fit inside. My 3 year old spent hours putting his jumpers in and taking them out. My 6 year old did more imaginative play with his toy. I like that this toy is small enough that it doesn't take up a ton of storage space but that it's big enough to put the jumpers in. Plus, this has been dropped a thousand times on the floor and hasn't broken. I'd highly recommend this to anyone with children interested in planes.

I was slightly disappointed that this wasn't delivered in a "officially licensed disney product" box and instead was delivered in some sort of simple packaged brown box. I was also expecting the plane to be bigger but it was smaller than I anticipated. Next time I'm gonna see what Disney store offers. But for the price I got it at, it's the reason I give it 3 stars otherwise I'd be bumping it down to 2 stars.

Very sturdy in design. My 2 year old is as hard on toys as any 2 year old out there. Not to mention his 4 year old brother has sent the plane on "flights" as well. I bought it for him this last Christmas. Almost three months later the toy is still in perfect condition. The propellers are always the first thing to go on toy planes, this toys propellers are still moveable and in tact. Nothing has broke yet, very happy with it and the boys LOVE loading cars in and out of the cargo hold.

Not what I expected. The tail that you have to assemble wouldn't fit, and the stickers were all misaligned and some weren't even stuck on the toy well. There was also paint residue on the bottom of the toy. Will be returning and buying one that I saw in Target.
