Pray the Rosary

When I was single (with no prospects in sight), praying the rosary gave me so much peace and comfort! I joined a couple of Catholic Single websites when I was in my thirties and corresponded with several nice men, but most did not seem very serious about finding a good Catholic spouse or seemed to just be looking for a penpal (I love writing letters and receiving mail, but what I really wanted was a good Catholic gentleman to be my husband!). Quite a few times when I thought I found a good guy, I prayed the rosary for discernment about a certain guy and many times I would receive an answer to whether this was the right guy or not soon afterwards. I could always count on the rosary for answers! It has NEVER failed me! A few years later I prayed the rosary again and received a nice email in December 2006 from a gentleman who lived in the same state as I did. We corresponded for a few months on the website, talked on the phone, and finally met in person on March 19th, 2006 (St. Joseph's Feast Day!). We met at my church and prayed a rosary together. Later on, I brought him over to my house to meet my Mom and sister. We enjoyed a wonderful St. Patrick's Day meal together (He even bought us Irish Soda bread - my favorite!)and took a lovely walk around my neighborhood. When it was time for him to leave, he expressed disappointment he couldn't see me the following Saturday due to a previous appointment he already had scheduled. But two weeks later he returned and we had another nice day together. We continued seeing each other all spring and summer. September 17th, 2006, he asked me to marry him. I was shocked, but of course said yes! His words: "And we're keeping the cat." LOL! We picked June 16th 2007, the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary as our wedding day to thank God and Our Lady for bringing us together! We will celebrate our 19th anniversary in a couple of months! We thank God and Our Lady every day for bringing us together, blessing us with a happy marriage, and answering our prayers! Good things DO come to those who wait! I highly recommend praying the rosary! It is so POWERFUL! You too will receive answers to your prayers! May God Bless you!

The larger version of this booklet. 4" X 6", 112 pages in depth study of the rosary, each of the mysteries has 3 pages of text and a matching inspirational picture. The pages have readings related to the mystery and contemplations. Excellent for adults.

Im so glad I bought this pocket rosary book! It's very affordable, or has nice pictures, it goes through all the Mysteries and prayers. It even has the prayer before and after the rosary.

This is a well formatted version of the Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary and makes praying the rosary much easier.

This little Rosary Booklet has beautiful meditations for each mystery. They offer a short meditation; a longer, scripture-based meditation for each Hail Mary; and a very short reminder option to insert after the first half of each Hail Mary. The illustrations are colorful and well-executed, although not 'great art' per se. The booklet is a perfect size for carrying either in the car, a purse, or even a back pocket. Only complaint is that the prayers of the rosary are at the back of the book and somewhat out of order. For those who are still learning the Rosary, it can be confusing to figure out which prayers go where. The instructions explain which prayers are to be said on which beads, but then the prayers themselves, printed at the BACK of the book, are out of order. For those who know the rosary by heart it is not a problem; for those still learning, perhaps not the best choice of book to get; although, the meditations and Scriptural selections are excellent.

I recently returned to my Catholic faith, I bought the other rosary book that is sold on here for around $3. Although it's helpful, I found this one to be even more helpful! Comes with scripture and more insights on the mysteries.

This is a great book if you don't know anything about the Rosary. As someone new to Catholicism, I found the Rosary very intimidating and mysterious. This book however makes learning it much easier and I feel the connection to God right away. I love the combination of Bible scriptures along with some illustrations to go with the prayers. It really helps you learn and understand the Rosary much better and what exactly it's about. I can see the benefits of doing this individually or in a group and I hope to eventually join my local Church in prayer as they recite the Rosary daily as a larger group.

I have loads of Rosary books. For a basic book to go through the Rosary, this is the best. Simple, colourful, well laid out and thorough. I use on the Kindle - works really well and I have a hard copy. Only negative is that it was written in the 1950's - which is not a problem, it is well written - but on one of the introductory pages one of the prayers asks that we also pray for the conversion of Russia. It is one sentence but other than that this is the book I recommend to everyone and use myself almost daily. If you are praying the Rosary and want a book to go with it, this is excellent.

I have several books on the rosary which help me to keep it alive but this is by far my favourite. It provides several alterative ways of meditating on the mysteries. It is good quality and small so easy to carry with you. I plan to buy more of these little books to give away to people
