Installation was easy., It works well. It does not have a stopper to hold the door open so you will need to buy that as well if you want to prop your door open. It squealed after 2 days of being on but it just needed some WD40. It has been on for a couple weeks and still works great

Generally good illustrated instructions with some grammar errors any English major could proofread and correct.Thoughtful of manufacturer to include pilot hole drill 3.2 mm (1/8”)Phillips head screws are a pain to install when in awkward position on a ladder.Torx, Allen Head or Square drive screws that stay on driver recommended.I did parallel plate installation on right hand door. Easier to install foot to parallel plate and adjust arm length if you temporarily disassemble 2 arms where they join at pivot.Closer works fine and was easy to adjust sweep and latch speed.

The door at the top of our basement stairs is sticky and doesn't like to close, and our 1-year-old has recently developed a huge fascination with the stairs. With guests, it's sometimes hard to make sure the door gets closed, and we've had a close call. This contraption has been a great solution. It gets the door closed every time. It does make the door a bit harder to open, but that's all the better for preventing the kiddo from opening the door if he somehow gets it unlatched.Install was fairly simple, took me about 45 minutes to do by myself (much of that time getting up and down off the chair I was standing on to install it so I could grab the next screw). The instructions aren't the most clear, but they're good enough.

I bought this after buying 2 different automatic door closers for our restaurant. I could not get either of those to work and this worked perfect! I literally put the template up (there are several mounting methods) and marked the door. Then the door mount holes matched up perfectly and 3-5 minutes later the door closed on its own the very first try. It has been installed for over a month and still works like the first time.

I installed this on the inside of a door to the basement. I can barely open the door with my left hand. I need to start opening it with my right and switch to my left. I could not adjust the tension. It gets easier as you open it but the first 2 inches are really tough.I do not recommend this for inside residential doors.

I got two of them. Good with wood door. Not suitable for fiberglass / composite door. May need an adapter plate diy.
