Yes, the 1.25" size is specifically meant to be used on a 1.25" hitch receiver. Please note that there is an adapter (optional accessory that must be purchased separately) to convert if from 1.25" to 2" in case you want to use the rack on another vehicle with a 2" receiver.

Q: Will the rack fold sufficiently small to put inside the back of a Subaru Outback?
