Small-Block Build UP
This manual is just great. It covers all aspects of a Chevy small-build re-build in detail and lists many addl. sources for more tech. info. Exellent source. I first oreded he book as a download on my Kindle. Bad move. It is very hard to work with while working on the project and, the Kindle is at risk. A lot fluids and sparks flying around. Joe

Great examples...
I bought this hoping to get some ideas on what changes would improve the horse power on the engine I'm rebuilding. And, well it didn't let me down! An excellent reference book, one that you can go back to time and time again.Add just a basic improvement or go the whole hug and blow the doors off anything street legal!

Enjoyed it thoroughly! Lots of great stuff and very well detailed and thought out! Perfect read for anyone that likes to see just how far you can wind up that rubber band before it snaps.

Great book full of good information
I have a 1964 Nova with a 283 engine in it and I will continue to use the tips in this book to improve the performance of that motor.

Many magazine articles
This book has one chapter on how to actually rebuild an engine. The rest of the book has different combinations of intakes, heads, carburetors, etc to see what makes more power. To me, it was like many magazine articles put together and sold as a book. The authors' math sucks. They are messing up the compression ratios of their engines so it is hard to keep track sometimes of where the performance is coming from.
