I have a lot of back issues that cause great pain. Especially at nighttime and early morning. Most if the time my pain would wake me up and I would need to get out of bed sometimes as early as 3-4 hour prior to my scheduled time. Since i have started using this particular heating pad, ive noticed that though i may wake up from my pain im able to reset (push the button for added/continued heat) and fall back asleep. I love the fact its encased in a super soft chenille like fabric that i can not take off (unlike the cheap big box store versions that have a felt removable fabric that pills and itches) its super cozy. I also love that it stays heated at the setting i select for quite some time prior to its pre set auto shut off. I only wish i had found this many years ago after my 1st back surgery as i burned my back and skin numerous times by poor functioning heating pads. Usually because after a few months of use i remove the felt cover because the pre set heating has begun to lessen and its no longer providing the moist heat i need to gain relief. I must say that is not the case with this heating pad!!! Its not only generous in size it continues to provide relief hours later! Ive been using it for about 2 months so far and the heat settings are the exact same as the day it arrived. I will happily add an updated review in a couple more months. As for the cost; i feel its surely worth it, but it is slightly more expensive than most big box store name brand heating pads. It is however far better quality- much larger in sz and works at each heat setting as described or indicated. It also has auto shut off, yet thankfully not shutting off every 20 minutes! I highly recommend this heating pad. My daughter also used it while home from college for her mensural cramps and said she got great relief after only a couple of hours of use! I plan to order one for her next and ship to her home away from home and tell her to throw out the one we bought at Wallgreens! I'm always worried when I have to get a new heating pad. New regulations usually make for heating pads that never get as hot as the older ones. At first try I was somewhat disappointed with the heat level of this one. It was as warm as an electric blanket but not much more. Chalked it up to safety. Strange as this sounds, the pad seems to have a higher temperature today than the day I received it. Maybe I'm getting used to it or maybe the pad just needed adjustment time. Either way, it is a great pad. It heats evenly and maintains it's heat for the full two hours. The cover is soft and the size is great for hips and backs. The long cord lets you use it anywhere. I've used heating pads regularly for at least 15 years so I've tried a lot of them. Highly recommend this one.

This is my second heating may. Reasonable price and nice mat! It will be better if it has a 2hours automatically off option.

I liked this product for relieving pain related to plantar fascitis and achilles tendinitis. Am able to use the cord to wrap the blanket around one calf at a time the day after long bicycle rides. (Use cold only on the day of rides to reduce pain and swelling.) Was amazing for when I threw my back out, too. Wraps well around the ribs one side at a time. I bought this a year ago and am still enjoying it! As an extra bonus, the power cord is especially long so I am able to put it under the covers at the foot of the bed on cold nights to keep my wicked cold feet warm and fall asleep much faster. (The blanket has a timer on it so you don't have to worry about waking up to turn it off.) The controller is large and uncomplicated, figure if anyone has hand/arthritis pain they would find it easy and comfortable to use.

The heating pad was doing great and then, for no reason, it stopped heating on all settings. I'm not certain I can recommend this brand if it quits after such a short time.

This is very well made, large, features dry and moist heat, 3 settings low med hi.The problem it is the hottest heating pad I've ever purchased and frankly dangerous..easy to burn skin pretty quickly. While all heating pads say to be careful not to burn, THIS ONE really can. I won't buy another one.I have to turn it off all the time. Others I can relax and not worry of burning myself. NOT THIS ONE.So just be extremely careful if you purchase,do not fall asleep use on children or elderly.

I purchased this heating pad after an older Sunbeam heating pad caught fire while in use. Upon receipt, I was pleasantly surprised with this new heating pad. It is without question the softest, most comfortable heating pad I've owned. It performs very well. For me, I felt the difference between the LOW and MEDIUM setting to be a bit much, resulting in frequent setting changes during each session.In summary, this heating pad performs as described, offering three traditional temperature settings and the most comfortable, softest pad available. Easy to wrap around sore muscles and long enough to treat much of your sore back. I definitely recommend this heating pad for your consideration.

This pad heated very well for 19 months. Then one day it stopped heating. The lights for the settings came on, but no heat at all on any setting. This is very disappointing. I thought this pad would last a lot longer than this! I would not recommend this pad if it only lasts for this short amount of time with normal use.
