FRAM CA10165 Extra Guard Rigid Panel Air Filter

I bought the FRAM Extra Guard CA10165 Engine Air Filter for my 2009 Honda Civic, 1.8L, and I'm glad I went with this one. It fits perfectly--exactly as expected for the 2006-2011 Civic models--and installing it was ridiculously easy. I'm not a mechanic by any means, but this was a quick, simple little DIY that took me maybe two minutes. Pop the old filter out, drop this one in, close the cover, done. I'm using it now, and at once after swapping it in, I noticed how much smoother my engine sounded. FRAM advertises up to 12,000 miles of protection, and I really feel it does its job. It's got sturdy and well-made material inside the filter, and I see a ton of dust and debris here, it seems that it catches all that. Obviously, knowing it provides double the protection versus basic filters makes me feel a lot better about long drives and everyday commuting. I appreciate that it traps dirt extremely well and doesn't choke the airflow either. My car seems to breathe easier, and the acceleration is a bit more responsive. It's a small maintenance item but it really does make a difference. Overall, this is a solid upgrade for anyone with a 1.8L Civic: easy installation, reliable performance, and peace of mind for the next 12,000 miles. What else could you ask for?
