$1300 for a 1tb ssd? what is the read/write speeds?

Does the 900p / 905p work with optane acceleration on rst, or is acceleration limited to the pch lanes m.2 slots?

The 905P is an add in card (AIC) with 4 PCI lanes. It is very different from the smaller, lower cost Optane modules that are used more often for RST acceleration of a slower, larger disk. Having used the 905p as my only storage device, I cannot imagine going back to regular SSD's now. RST support requires a combination of UEFI and controller compatibility to work properly. My 0.02 on RST: it's good, but not great. Optane really shines with devices like the 905p that provide ample high speed, low latency storage. I do a lot of video editing, and the 905p was a game changer for me. Typical NVME SSD sticks just can't keep up. I would recommend buying the largest Optane 905p that fits in your budget.

Of course! This is the PCI-E version which will work. You may have to download certain Intel drivers first, that's all. Taken from a review on another site: 1. Update BIOS. 2. Check if Intel 905 or 905P is on validated list for your motherboard. 3. Be sure to setup as UEFI boot. 4. If your M.2 22110 slot is "shared" with any other slots (PCIe or SATA ) make sure those other slots are NOT occupied. 5. Ensure maximum compatibility by using validated RAM.
