Bought this despite some reviews because my wife really wanted it. I hoped that it didn't arrive DOA, broke or even worse, breaks AFTER the first use. Nothing is worse. This thing is awesome. She cooked Cheddar wurst in as the cook - BOMB.. My buns first needed to cook twice on number 3 (first round ) and hers on number 5 once. Second cook a day later..everything was PERFECT on setting 5. no issues at ALL. Clean this thing and take care of it - it should last. I am now going to buy myself one. not sure which other one but it will be the same brand.Its fun, fast and awesome. No more heating up the house to boil cheddar wurst. I normally throw them on the grill or smoke them.. but this is great. We put chili and ketsup+mustard ..simple.. done.. whoop.don't be afraid to order this. Just be ready to eat. if anything happens, Amazon has AWESOME customer service so call them. but great buy here! Looks COOL too!

Put this for a Yankee swap gift. A friend who likes hotdogs got it. We tried it later. Hotdogs came out perfect. You have to be careful with the buns. The edges kind of burned but it’s no big deal. It is however, difficult to clean the area where the buns burned, but it is just bread that’s a tiny bit burnt so it’s no big deal. Very easy to clean the area where the hotdogs are cooked. Not too big, so it doesn’t take up too much counter-space. A cute little item. Nice to make a quick little snack or meal. Plus, it’s a nice little novelty item. Price is right. It did take a while to arrive though.

This is a five star product with a 3 star heater. If you keep your hot dogs in the fridge - as you are supposed to - there is no way that you will get a 165 degree dog (recommended). Microwave pre-heat ruins the flavor and texture, so that is not an option. Thought about putting the heat setting on 5 and doing that dogs and then repeating, adding the buns for the second cook. Will check this out with a meat thermometer next go round..Also - not the cooker's fault - since the bun warmers are on the small side, you have to carefully remove the buns from the package and slice them to separate as opposed to pulling them apart. Hotdog buns usually come out in sets of four. Ragged edges will hang up in the toasting chamber. The bigger high quality buns packed separately, will not fit in this cooker. But they are for larger sausage sandwiches anyway - which this cooker was not designed to handle.Going to give this thing another go with Nathans or Jewish National dogs at room temperature and use a meat thermometer to check the results. So far this is a lot of fun to used and very easy.

My husband loves hot dogs, and he usually just uses plain bread; but I knew that he prefers a real hot dog with a bun, so I bought this for him, and he just LOVES it ! Actually, I think it is pretty neat, too. It makes 2 hot dogs at a time, and cooks them with the little brown patches on the outside, like you get when weenie-roasting a hot dog over the campfire, and then you have the nice toasty hot bun to put it in once it is roasted.It works pretty fast, cleanup is easy, it looks cute, and hardly takes up any space when it is on the counter top. The price is reasonable, and there are really no downsides to write about with this……..I definitely recommend it if you enjoy hot dogs !

Nice looking item, but doesn't live up to its hype.Cooks hot dogs OK on the 4 to 5 setting, but only toasts the edges of the buns, which isn't a deal breaker, but the photo of the product on Amazon does show ALL of the bun being toasted. Leaving me to wonder just how many tries it took for the photographer to get it right, haha.My big issue though, is the tongs. Great for a big strong man, but if you're a woman with not a lot of strength in your hands, the tongs are not only worthless, they are DANGEROUS to use. They barely move! I almost sent the hot toast flying towards me, when they suddenly sprang back of their own volition while I was trying to use them.And they are quite short, meaning you have to really get them down into the toaster--would recommend unplugging it first, for safety.Basically, my tongs are defective and shouldn't even have been put in there. You really can't use a fork to get these items out. Tongs are the only option, and I don't own any--and don't think I should have to go out and buy any, either. If you buy this item, use your OWN tongs.Debating whether to keep this or send it back and buy something else from Amazon. It all depends on whether I have to pay to ship it back or not. I don't believe in paying to ship back a defective item.

It is visually appealing, easy to use and the Hot Dogs taste good.I wasn’t sure if I’d like toasted Hot Dogs but they are very good,I like them better than boiled ones.It’s very easy to use, just place one or two Hot Dogs into the slots,place in one or two bun if wanted and push down handle like a toaster.In just a couple of minutes you have a couple of Hot Dogs and toasted bunsready to eat..!Only issue is that I’ve found I need to gently work with my bun a lite to get itinto the slot, could be a little bigger but it’s not a game changer for me.This is great if you want a quick snack and don’t want to drag out a pot, fill itwith water, put it on the stove, ect…I would recommend this to anyone.

Bought as a gift for my brother-in-law. He loved it. He said the hot dogs came out delicious and it was a much faster and convenient way to prepare them.The only thing he noted was that the bread insert is a bit weird, almost like you have to cut the hotdog buns in half in order for them to fit properly. No major issue though.Other than that, he was really happy with the quality of the toaster and would recommend it to others who may be interested in the product.
