Best barrier wipe around
As a type 2 diabetic, I find this barrier film wipe to be effective and easy to use. I protects my skin when I apply my CGM (Dexcom G7) and the over-patch. I do not use a barrier film, I get something that looks like a chemical burn/blister wherever the attaching adhesives touch my unprotected skin. The Dexcom CGMs are supposed to run for 10 days. It only takes a few hours for my unprotected skin to skin to react to the adhesives. This product has helped me immensely. I don’t have to worry about the intense itching and burning I have endured without it, previously. It is also a relief to not have open sores due to the blistering that can occur when I don’t apply a barrier film. I’m sure others have encountered this issue. I have also found this same barrier film as a spray. It helps tremendously. I just spray it liberally on the area to which I want to apply my CGM and over-patches, let it dry, then apply my device and over-patches, rub my finger over the device and patches to be sure the adhesion is strong, then go about my business. Lasts the whole 10 days without fear of irritation, itching, burning, or residual blisters/sores. I am much happier using this product. It is far better than any other product I’ve tried. I hope this has been helpful.- M. Murphy

Great skin prep for cgm and over patch’s
Excellent product. Use it to prep skin before starting new cgm sensor. Helps over patch to stick to skin. Don’t have any issues with them peeling off like I did before using this product.

Adhesion
Product works as advertised. It preps the skin for a subsequent adhesive application. It will remove oils and clean the skin in preparation for applying infusion sites, tape etc. However, if you are looking for something to really promote or increase adhesion this is not it. I bought this product instead of skin-tac in the hopes of getting the same performance for nearly half the price. Now I know, that if I want skin-tac performance, I will buy skin-tac.

Saved my life as a diabetic
IF YOU STILL HAVE A BAD REACTION TO ADHESIVES PLEASE READ. I have the most sensitive skin ever!! I stopped wearing my Dexcom G6 because of the reaction, after a day, I was having. It was worse than the second picture. Then I discovered these wipes.Just using the wipes, I used three to try and get a thicker layer. Clearly still didn’t work for me. (Pictured 2) I then heard about using Fluticasone or Flonase too. So I used just that, still had a horrible reaction. I gave up hope. But then I decided to try both. I used three wipes, let it dry, THEN sprayed Fluticasone, let it dry. STILL A HORRIBLE REACTION. Again started losing hope, but got more determined.I finally heard about Hydro Seal Band Aids size large. They recommend cutting a hole for the needle. But I was STILL left with a small awful irritation that was SO itchy. I gave up cutting the hole. I have FINALLY FOUND A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM. So, if you can relate please read this next part.1: I use three of these wipes (can’t live with out them, I tried skipping this step, doesn’t work for me. Horrible reaction!!!)2: Spray Flonase on area, let dry, repeat.3: Trim Dexcom’s adhesive as close to the monitor as possible (don’t snap orange piece to prevent accidental set off during this step)4: Take the Hydro Seal Band Aid and wipe a Smith and Nephew wipe on it. Let dry, stick Dexcom to this Band Aid. Make sure to try and keep it centered or the adhesive chemicals can still get through the bandaid. I’m serious. It’s crazy.5: Skin should be completely dry. Peel the paper off the Band Aid now, break orange seal on Dexcom, firmly press to prepped skin area. Click the button to release the Dexcom.6: Take another wipe. Wipe around the Dexcom, and complete with Skin Grip or other patch of your choosing, to keep Dexcom in place. The lesser reaction picture is when I accidentally skipped using the nose spray. STILL such a huge difference pairing even just the wipes and Hydro Seal Band Aids together.I get no reactions (90% of the time) when doing this process. Now it’s not full proof sometimes I’ll get one or two bumps on occasion after removing the Dexcom. But the amount of relief I have found from this process is insane and now I can safely and happily wear a Dexcom. I can finally wear it for the full 10 days with no issue. It truly makes my life easier!
