Geography obsessed 3 YO
This books has sticker pages, mazes (a little advanced for my 3yo but he tries) and coloring pages. Most Geography for kids workbooks are coloring books with facts and honestly too much coloring for little hands. This book has a very small area of the map that children will color.

Nice introduction to US Geography for Kindergarten
My rising 1st grader needed some practice with cardinal directions and basic explanations of continents, countries, states and territories, so I thought I'd try this sight unseen. This book does not meet any of those expectations, in fact a compass rose is missing from most of the maps, assuming you got the gist from the first two maps, but my LO was super excited to do the mazes and was lured in by easy-to-read, 2-sentence intros of each map. I think parents underestimate how much 1st graders enjoy stickering still. I kept the book because I plan to use it to supplement our biology curriculum which explores habitats and ecosystems. It will be easy to sync the regions of the northeast with cold forrested areas, the southeast with wetlands, the midwest with prairie/plains, the southwest with deserts, and the west with mountainous regions. My disappointment with the book is that it doesn't teach or explain map reading to the child. They could have explained the dashed line for states and solid lines for country borders, but didn't. The notes mention Alaska not being to scale, but there's no scale included (admittedly a 2nd or 3rd grade concept). I am asking my LO to draw in a compass on each map. Also, the coloring sections are so arbitrary, like color the mountain area that is white brown, clearly what makes this book "Pre-K & up."We bought DK Geography 1st grade to explain the specifics of maps and directions and continents, countries, territories, states and borders. This is just a nicely colored, fun sticker book with a very broad and youthful approach to developing United States and Canada geographic awareness.

Working out well so far.
A global map woulda been good to include in here. This is a good book though it's going well.

Mazes Are Too Hard
My preschooler loves working on this workbook because of the stickers. There is enough information for me to read aloud to her to make the learning worthwhile, but not too much to bore her. My only complaint is that the mazes are WAY TOO DIFFICULT for a preschooler.

good geography intro
This isn't a great way to teach your child about geography, but it's a good start. It's based off mute memorization, which is extremely hard for a small child, so you won't finish the book with the knowledge of all states and capitals, but you could use it to bring better context to, say, where grandma lives, and where you're state is located, and maybe disney land, etc. There's lots of stickers, and little color in sections. If your child loves fun work books, then they'd probably enjoy this one. Just be aware it's more for fun than for education

Great for Kindergarten age group!
This has been an excellent supplement to my Kindergarteners virtual schooling this year. We use it on days where their virtual assignments may be light, or on non-school days to keep a routine. My two children love the stickers and mazes. It is engaging and a great intro to geography for that age group.

Fantastic resource for teaching preschoolers geography
This is a great resource to teach preschoolers beginning geography. There are stickers for each page which make it a quick and simple activity for younger kids. I homeschool my kids and bought this for the youngest so he can feel included during their geography time. I do like a lot of the Kumon books and this is one of the best ones I've come across so fun in the creative presentation of the material

For littles but NOT dumbed down
This is a great book for children wanting to learn US and CA Geography. What a genius idea. The approach is basic but the material is not infantile. My kid feels like she's really learning--and I trust that she really is. I especially appreciate the detail given to the states and providences, which respects what they are and doesn't make them cartoonish blobs.

Most of it is American side of the map. Not too much of Canada.
Not much of Canada. But book itself is okay. Not a must buy for a kindergartener.
