These work. Here's the background. We installed 12 of the Sentry II/Truth Hardware/PGT openers 10/16 on our 2nd story cupola windows to naturally ventilate our horse barn in Wellington Florida. The Sentry II units were a disaster. 4 of the 12 arrived broken, out of the box. I should have stopped the installation THEN and sent them all back. They feel flimsy as well. Long replacement delays, then over the next year, 4 more failed. Just out of warranty of course, and PGT would not help with the replacement. They wanted another $600+ each to replace. My GC and subcontractors had reached a dead end. Thanks to Amazon they list Olide. We are on the 2nd order of these Olide units and like them. They are surprisingly strong aka lots of torque to open/close the windows. Design is so logical, a- "why didn't I think of that". Be careful to order the right ones (model 300, 400 or 500). Each has a different opening length. They automatically run to the end of their travel. They're so strong, I'd be concerned about installing the model that is too long for your window opening limit. It's likely strong enough to do some damage. Manuals could be better, but adequate to get the job done. If you look closely at the picture, the Olide unit is on the left

Remote works reliably - skylight opens and closes perfectly. The install took 2 attempts, but could manage a solid install.

The opener was fairly easy to install and works beautifully. Very quiet, smooth.
