Best stuff ever!
I use this to restore old sewing machine cabinets for my side business. It gets the dirt out of the finish, lifts the finish and redistributes it well. Follow the directions and use a rag to wipe it up quickly, because otherwise it will evaporate and leave swirls of dirt and yuck on your project. This does evaporate quickly, and you will need thick plastic gloves and 0000 steel wool for the best results.

Furniture Refinisher is the best!
I used to like in an old Victorian house and was constantly using this product. It is wonderful for getting rid of scratches and finish problems. I recently bought another container for my solid oak kitchen cabinets. I accidently used a harsh chemical cleaner on one of the cabinets that removed the finish. Formby's evened out the surface and the Tung Oil Finish restored the color and shine. You can't even tell there was a problem.

Old product
The can leaked and was delivered only 3/4 full. The can was rusted on the top and the label has partially flaked off. The top was frozen and very difficult to remove. I haven't tried the product yet but it should be fine. I would like to receive partial credit. Thank you

The product is easy to use and does a thorough job
The product is easy to use and does a thorough job. I found that using a rag to wipe the residue off after every application of the refinisher made the job go much more quickly. I was able to do the work outside so the fumes were not a problem. Using the 0000 steel wool to apply the refinisher results in a very smooth finish.

Good stuff but pricey
My experience with this product has been educational in that I have never tried to strip furniture before and learned that this product works but also can use some further improvement. I spent as more on stripper than any other component of my dining room chairs restoration project. This product is very volatile in that it evaporates quickly so you can slow this down my adding some Xylene so consequently I reduced my usage by half. Also used a lot of gloves especially the ever popular Nitrile type which last about 10 minutes and went thru more than 25 pairs of the 9 mil. type. The heavier gloves tend to gum up and leaves tracts on your work. But in the end after replacing the rattan weave seats with some finish grade pine and finishing with some satin poly they look really good and match up well with my dining room table.
