Haven’t used it yet, but sharp as a razor, imagine it will cut down an oak tree!
Not used, but look quality and very sharp. Looking forward to testing it out.

Reasonable attachment
Easy to fit, the blade is very sharp and cuts well. I suppose my main criticism is that it is quite flexy and consequently isn't always that easy to use.In general though, it does the job.

Excellent saw attachment for the extendable pruner
Excellent and extremely useful attachment for the extendable pruner. The branch saw is easily attached to the pruner extendable handle. The saw blade is very sharp, and cuts branches with the downward or pulling stroke. The blade is quite flexible, so could buckle if too much force is used during the foreword or pushing stroke. It cuts fairly large branches with care. I have on a few occasions got the blade stuck or hung up on a large branch at full extension of the pole. A bit tricky to free at full reach, requiring a ladder and long throw rope to open the cut, and free the saw without buckling. Used sensibly it's excellent.

Great piece of kit
Bought this to attach to my tree loppers. Very impressed with the blade which is really sharp and cuts on the pull stroke making it much easier to use

Excellent
This product will save me a fortune on tree pruning costs as I have previously had to rely on getting a contractor in. The saw attachment I bought at the same time is really sharp and the pruner itself is very good and easy to use.

Works
Works well because it's new and Sharpe, fits shaft well have used it a few times, see what it cuts like after a while and a number of cuts.

A cheap edition to a great tool
After buying my upx86 pole pruner I realised it didn't come with the saw, (first negative point), so I found it sold separately which was rather pricey (second negative point) the most annoying thing about this saw is that a very sharp blade arrived with no scabbard! That is completely illogical, Now I have to go out find, buy or make a separate scabbard just for the pole Saw, at an extra cost pushing the saw price up to nearly £40! Fiskars that is just tight fisted and unsafe! The saw arrived separately from the pole and once assembled I had it straight out on site, helping with a roadside tree safety contract, combined with the pole it's very good, razor sharp and I like how easy it is to detach.Only major issue is that the blade is extremely flimsy, this is good and also bad firstly it means you get a little more flex when things pinch it or it gets forced against a hard branch but equally bad, as the blade after 2 days has deformed, still usable but not expected from such a good make + expensive pruning saw.Another huge draw back is the way the saw and the pruner are mounted, if you purchased it with the bypass pruner the fitting system is rather genius, but when I was using the saw inside the canopy of a large oak tree from a harness it proved very hard to find a suitable angle to perform a cut with the saw without the pruner head obstructing or getting snagged unfortunately I see no way passed this without leaving little stubs to accommodate the bulk of the pruner head.I hate the fact that this saw has no hook cutter at the tip for when you pull through on the final strike and it could definitely do with being and extra 5-10cm longer also.Another fiskars pole does have a good long curved blade with a hook cutter but I'm not sure this is compatible with the upx86.All in all the saw really proves its worth but it feels like a cheap edition to one of the most expensive pole pruners on the market.Fiskars take it from a professional, beef up the blade, provide a scabbard for God's sake! And install a hook cutter, the longer length may then let you accommodate the bulky pruner head. Thanks for reading head over to the UPX86 Pole pruner to see my review of the pole pruner, these comments are related to the saw only

Cuts like a dream
I've paired this with a Fiskars PowerGear X Telescopic Tree Pruner UPX86. I can hardly believe how easily it cuts branches. I've removed a load of overhanging sycamore branches up to about 5" diameter with no problem. Just approach it carefully - no rushing or mad sawing or you might bend the flexible blade.Might appear pricey but you get what you pay for. Fiskars know about sharp cutting edges!
