Good quality. Price a bit high

Awesome quality at this price they are really great purchase if you are planning to use them on terrace or outside, they are really good choice as they are waterproof and weatherproof, I have purchased lot of bulkheads in the past but all of them after some months due to sunlight or due to water became dead this one I am using for last one year and no matter what - rain sunlight this does not affect these bulkhead lamps, really happy with this purchase only thing is price is on a higher side i.e.other bulkheads you can get at about 100 to 150 and these ones cost for like 250 so if the price gets reduced they will be a steel to buy.

This bulkhead light is bright and does the job well. Looks good on the outside. I was unable to test the waterproof feature of the light. This is achieved by a thin silicone glue layer on the outer groove. This fill was not uniform and was found lacking in certain places. The inside was covered in a thin layer of soot like material. The power supply part of the light is potted and covered by heat shrink. This is done to improve the IP rating of the device but negatively affects the performance of the device as the generated heat cannot be radiated away ending up thermally stressing the components. The LED board consists of 120 LEDs arranged in 24 series 5 parallel. Good thing is if any LED fails it will take the entire series out. But you will still be left out with 4 parallel circuits. Assuming the SMPS does not give up the ghost before any LED does. This is rated for 17.8W than full 20W. The power consumption was measured using a HOPI 9800 handheld power meter.

Brightness levels are good, but the plastic casing is not of a very high quality. Over use of the light may make the plastic brittle over time, and cause it to break into pieces. Also the glue quality used to fix the translucent cover to the light case is not good at all and can let-go of its housing, so be careful or use glue you trust to fix it.
