Freud 04-148: 7/8" (Dia.) Double Flute Straight Bit with 1/4" Shank

Received item was as described. Used without any problem.

Well-made router bit. I'm cutting 36" long dadoes in MDF using a DeWalt trim router. Taking about 1/8" of depth per pass, this bit makes clean, rapid cuts.

The sizing and accuracy is as expected, but the bit was quickly destroyed by ground contact pressure treated boards. I was able to get through about 90 linear feet before the bit started to deteriorate. I was able to resharpen the cutting blades but lost about 3/32" in accuracy.

I'm new to using a wood router. Using the same material and router, this bit seems to be a much higher quality than the 3/4" Craftsman that cost me only $5 less.

Good quality product, produces excellent, clean cuts. Would recommend this product to anyone doing cabinet work or joinery requiring this size bit.

I bought this bit to lay in metal extrusion in my work bench, it was important that it be the exact same dimensions as the aluminum extrusion I was inserting, the bit although good quality was .032 (around 1/32 of an inch) undersized of 7/8 inch. If your tolerance is tight you might want to check elsewhere .
