I guess after a couple of years of recharging, the original doesn't last as long. Put in this new one, but it doesn't seem to last as long as the old one originally. I did verify that the specs are the same, and since this is my work computer that does not have much in the way of software loaded, it just doesn't last as long as the original. I do believe it is a great value for the price. Better get them before they are gone, because after your laptop gets so old, you cannot get parts for them.After using the replacement for over a year, it does give me a reliable 4 solid hours of service. It lasts the same time on Zoom too. As stated before, this is a great value.

Exactly what I needed.

I'm writing this review while I'm using this battery for the first time.It looks like its going to last longer than the old used original Dell's battery. I am working non-stop for about an hour, and have lost about 40% of the battery's power. The old battery would have been gone by now. Although it seems rather short timed, the original Dell's battery was similar this this battery.My assumption is that with standard usage - this battery would last around two hours plus( with 50% light).Overall I am very happy with my purchase - I got a good value for my money, and the installation was as simple as ever(just sliding it in).

If computer works on the wall plug but not when unplugged or it don’t last long unplugged it’s time for new battery. Very easy to replace and works like new.

It was very hard to finally decide on which battery to order. The numbers were not matching the options. I was worried I would order the wrong one. I asked around but no one could help me. I finally got the battery in good time but after using it only a few days short of a month, the battery would not charge. Getting a replacement thru amazon-they are great and Shami was a great help. He transferred me to Dell who passed me around to 4 different departments with the last one being closed. As I was getting over the top frustrated, Shami came back on the phone. He was listening to all the conversations and keeping up with my being rerouted all around Dell. He ordered me a replacement and it will be here in Amazon time of 2 days. I hope the new battery lasts longer than the first. If not I will return it every 29 days.

I am so glad I bought this replacement, it has extended the life of my computer. It fit perfectly in my Dell computer. It works better than my old worn out original factory one. The batter lasts several hours before I have to plug my charger in. It was very easy to install and was at a great price compared to having to purchase a new computer.

After reading reviews, I was confident enough that this battery would work. Upon receiving the battery, it did not seem to fit the way my original battery did and I was not willing to force it. I had submitted a return and had decided to go with an actual Dell battery. However, when I took my laptop and this battery into my computer guy, he encouraged me it should be fine and inserted it. At the shop it powered up and gave a reading that it was plugged in and charging. NOW, less than 12 hours later, my battery indicator light is back to rapidly flashing an amber light and my battery indicator says "No battery is detected". GR!

My laptop needs a new battery. I tried another supplier, but the battery broke in two days, so it's not easy to install. I decided to try again, although the packaging and battery looked the same as before, this one was easy to get in, and after a few weeks it was still the perfect feature. I'm glad.
